At Captivating Cabinets, all purchases are final sale. We do not accept returns or issue refunds for:

  • Change of mind or buyer's remorse
  • Incorrect measurements provided by the customer
  • Wrong product selection or ordering errors
  • Products that do not meet customer expectations
  • Color or finish variations from website images
  • Products that have been opened, installed, or used

We strongly recommend carefully reviewing all product specifications, dimensions, and finishes before placing your order. Our design team is available to assist you in making the right selection for your project.

2. Why All Sales Are Final

Cabinet products are custom-manufactured or specially ordered items that:

  • Are made to order based on your specifications
  • Cannot be resold to other customers due to specific dimensions and configurations
  • Incur significant manufacturing and shipping costs
  • Are subject to manufacturer policies that do not allow returns

This policy allows us to offer competitive pricing while ensuring every customer receives brand new, uninstalled products manufactured specifically for their project.

3. Pre-Purchase Recommendations

To ensure you're completely satisfied with your purchase, we recommend:

  • Verify Measurements: Double-check all measurements and dimensions before ordering
  • Order Samples: Order door samples to verify colors and finishes in your home lighting
  • Review Specifications: Carefully review product specifications, materials, and features

4. Damaged or Defective Products

While all sales are final, we stand behind the quality of every product we sell. If you receive damaged or defective items, we will work with you and the manufacturer to resolve the issue.

4.1 Shipping Damage

If your cabinets arrive with shipping damage:

  1. Inspect Upon Delivery: Carefully inspect all boxes and products before signing the delivery receipt
  2. Note All Damage: If damage is visible, note it on the delivery receipt before signing. Be specific (e.g., "Box 3 has corner damage, Box 5 appears crushed")
  3. Document Everything: Take detailed photos of:
    • Damaged packaging from all angles
    • Damaged products before unpacking
    • Damaged products after unpacking
    • Close-ups of specific damage areas
    • Product labels and box numbers
  4. Contact Us Immediately: Call us at 609-900-3358 within 5 days of delivery
  5. Do Not Discard Packaging: Keep all boxes, packing materials, and damaged items until the claim is resolved

Important: Damage claims must be reported within 5 days of delivery. Claims reported after this period may not be accepted by carriers or manufacturers.

4.2 Manufacturer Defects

If you discover manufacturing defects after installation:

  • Contact us immediately at 609-900-3358
  • Provide photos showing the defect clearly
  • Provide your order number and product details
  • Describe when and how the defect was discovered

We will file a warranty claim with the manufacturer on your behalf and coordinate replacement parts or products at no cost to you. Manufacturer defects are covered under each brand's respective warranty policy.

4.3 Resolution Process

For damaged or defective products:

  • We file damage/defect claims with carriers or manufacturers
  • Replacement products are shipped at no additional cost
  • Original damaged items may need to be returned to the carrier/manufacturer
  • We coordinate all logistics and keep you updated throughout the process
  • Typical resolution time: 2-4 weeks depending on product availability

5. Order Cancellations

Order cancellations may be possible before shipment, but are subject to manufacturer policies and timing.

5.1 Cancellation Window

Important: Cancellation requests must be made as soon as possible. Once products enter production or have shipped, cancellation is not possible.

5.2 Cancellation Fees

Cancellation fees vary by manufacturer and product status:

  • Before Production Starts: 15-25% restocking fee (if manufacturer accepts cancellation)
  • Production Started: 25-35% restocking fee plus production costs
  • Custom/Special Orders: 35-50% restocking fee (if cancellation is accepted)
  • After Shipment: Cancellation not possible - all sales final

Note: Manufacturers are not obligated to accept cancellations. Each cancellation request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

5.3 Cancellation Refund Timeline

If your cancellation is approved:

  • Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days of manufacturer confirmation
  • Refunds appear on your original payment method within 5-10 business days
  • Restocking fees and processing fees are deducted from the refund amount
  • Shipping fees (if paid) are non-refundable

6. Warranty Coverage

All cabinet products are covered by manufacturer warranties that protect against defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty terms vary by brand:

  • Fabuwood: Limited lifetime warranty on cabinet structure
  • J&K Cabinetry: Limited lifetime warranty
  • Diamond Cabinets: Limited lifetime warranty by MasterBrand
  • Decorá Cabinets: Limited lifetime warranty by MasterBrand
  • Cubitac: Limited warranty coverage
  • Tribeca: Limited warranty coverage

6.1 What Warranties Cover

Manufacturer warranties typically cover:

  • Defects in materials (wood, hardware, finishes)
  • Defects in workmanship (construction, assembly, finish application)
  • Structural failures under normal use
  • Hardware malfunctions (hinges, drawer glides)

6.2 What Warranties Do NOT Cover

Warranties do not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from improper installation
  • Damage from misuse or abuse
  • Water damage or moisture exposure
  • Damage from household chemicals or cleaners
  • Natural wood variations or color changes
  • Products altered or modified after purchase
  • Commercial or business use (residential use only)

6.3 Filing a Warranty Claim

To file a warranty claim:

  2. Provide your order number and product details
  3. Send photos clearly showing the defect or issue
  4. Describe the issue and when it first appeared

We handle all warranty claims on your behalf, coordinating with manufacturers to ensure fast resolution. We are your advocate throughout the warranty process.

7. Exceptions and Special Circumstances

7.1 Wrong Product Shipped by Us

If we ship the wrong product due to our error (not customer ordering error):

  • Provide photos of the product label and packaging
  • We will arrange pickup of the incorrect item at no cost
  • We will ship the correct item at no additional charge
  • No restocking fees or return shipping charges apply

7.2 Duplicate Shipments

If you receive duplicate products you did not order:

  • Do not refuse delivery - accept the shipment
  • We will arrange pickup at our expense
  • You will not be charged for duplicate items

7.3 Incomplete Orders

If your order is missing items:

  • Check the packing slip - some orders ship in multiple boxes/shipments

  • We will ship missing items at no additional cost
  • Claims must be filed within 5 days of delivery

8. Sample Door Returns

Door samples ordered through our website are also final sale and non-returnable. Sample pricing is significantly discounted to allow customers to evaluate finishes and quality before making full cabinet purchases.

If you receive a damaged sample, contact us for a replacement at no cost.
