Fabuwood Ovela Cabinets

Ovela is Fabuwood’s newest frameless line, built on ¾″ UV-veneered plywood boxes with ⅝″ solid-wood dovetail drawers. It comes with two European slab doors: Catalina, in fifteen finishes from luminous gloss and refined mattes to wood textures like Ferrara Oak and Hickory Rock, and the new three-piece Siena in 23 textured finishes.

Thirty-eight in total: fifteen Catalina slab finishes spanning gloss, matte, and textured wood looks, plus 23 textured Designer Collection finishes on the Siena door.

The box and drawers are. Ovela boxes are ¾″ UV-veneered plywood with a natural wood-veneer interior and the drawers are ⅝″ solid-wood dovetail boxes; the Catalina and Siena slab doors are engineered board, which keeps a flat slab stable. Premium Blum® soft-close hardware is standard, except on Lazy Susan, Easy Reach and pie-cut corner cabinets, which do not get the soft-close mechanism.

Yes. Door samples are available for every Ovela Catalina and Siena finish, so you can see the gloss, matte, or wood texture before you buy.

Like every Fabuwood stock series, Ovela typically ships in about 2 weeks; the exact date depends on the door, the finish and your delivery address, so we confirm it on your quote before you order. Fabuwood lists every Siena finish at its standard lead times.

Siena is a three-piece slab door: two vertical stiles framing a centre panel, with the grain running up the stiles and across the panel. It is full overlay, comes only in textured Designer Collection finishes, and is offered on both of Fabuwood’s frameless lines, Ovela and Illume. On Ovela it gets the plywood box and dovetail drawers; Siena cabinets are quoted per project.

The box underneath is identical, so pick by face and finish. Catalina is one flat panel and is the door to choose for gloss or a solid matte colour. Siena only comes in textured finishes, and its stile-and-panel layout gives a tall wall of cabinets more rhythm than a run of flat slabs. Many finish names appear on both doors — Ferrara Oak, Silk Flow, and Olmo 3 among them — so one sample of each in the same finish settles it quickly.

All of them are modern — it comes down to mood. Gloss finishes like Bianco and Grigio create a bright, high-shine look; mattes like Carbone and Silk Flow give a soft, minimalist feel; and wood textures like Ferrara Oak and Hickory Rock, on either door, bring warm, Scandinavian-style character.

Matte and wood-texture finishes are the most forgiving — they hide fingerprints and everyday smudges well and wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Gloss finishes clean just as easily but show smudges a bit more between wipe-downs.

A standard 10×10 kitchen in Ovela Catalina typically runs $6,500–$9,000 in cabinets, and the new Siena door is quoted per project; your total depends on your layout, the door, and the finish, so we price your actual kitchen rather than a sample one.
