For a three-cabinet island of two SC-3DB18 drawer bases and one SC-B36, the stained version totals $1,452.44 unassembled. The identical cabinets in white come to $1,314.28, so the darker island adds $138.16. Assembly adds $60 to each of those three in either finish.
Because this is a stain over a solid birch frame, wood grain shows through. The book reflects that in a small way: its glass-door diagonal corner walls are noted as stained inside to match the exterior, and the accessories list has a touch-up kit but no spray can.
