Mantra Cabinet Colors: Beachwood, Rosemary, Omni and Every Finish Compared

Two-tone kitchen with warm white shaker perimeter cabinets and a muted gray-green island under white quartz counters and brass pulls.

Mantra cabinet colors come down to seven finishes we carry, and every one of them lives on the Omni door: Snow (crisp white), Mineral (warm mid-tone gray), Graphite (charcoal), Admiral (navy), Rosemary (gray-green), and two wood stains, Hammock (light, natural) and Beachwood (dark, smoky gray). The Classic door, the brand's partial-overlay Shaker, is carried in Snow. The menu is short on purpose: MasterBrand builds Mantra with plywood boxes, dovetail drawers and soft-close hardware as standard, ships every cabinet factory-assembled, and pays for that by keeping the catalog tight.

We sell the line and quote it every week, so this is the palette explained the way we'd explain it across a design table: what each finish looks like in a real kitchen, which door carries it, how the finishes pair, and the closest match in Fabuwood and KCD for cross-shoppers. The full verdict on construction, warranty and lead times lives in our Mantra cabinets review; this guide is about color.

Key takeaways

  • We carry seven Mantra finishes: Snow, Mineral, Hammock, Rosemary, Graphite, Beachwood and Admiral, all on the Omni door. Classic is carried in Snow.
  • Five are opaque paints (Snow, Mineral, Graphite, Admiral, Rosemary); two are wood stains with visible grain (Hammock, Beachwood).
  • Omni is a full overlay Shaker with 2 1/4" rails and 5-piece drawer fronts; Classic is partial overlay with slab drawer fronts. The box behind both is identical.
  • Every Mantra cabinet ships factory-assembled, under a 5-year limited warranty that excludes rental properties.
  • Mantra doesn't publish retail pricing; everything is quoted on your layout. Classic typically quotes modestly below the same layout in Omni.
  • Order door samples of the two finishes you're torn between and judge them in your own light.

How Mantra Organizes Its Finishes: Omni and Classic

Most brands give every door its own palette. Mantra does the opposite: one palette, two doors, and one door gets almost all of it. Both doors are framed Shakers on the same spec: plywood ends, 3/4" plywood shelves, solid wood dovetail drawer boxes on soft-close, under-mount, full-extension guides, and soft-close six-way adjustable hinges, shipped assembled.

Omni is the main event: a full overlay Shaker with 2 1/4" rails and 5-piece drawer fronts, so every drawer echoes the door. It carries all seven finishes we stock. Classic is a partial overlay Shaker with the same rail, slab drawer fronts and a strip of face frame visible between doors; we carry it in Snow. Our Omni vs Classic comparison takes the two apart line by line. For a color decision the rule is simple: anything other than white means an Omni kitchen.

The manufacturer's catalog runs slightly wider than our stock. Mantra's current website lists an eighth Omni finish, Steam (a warm white), and shows Classic in Snow and Hammock; the 2023 spec book we host shows Classic in Bark and Snow, plus a Spectra door we don't carry. None of those are in our stocked lineup, so if you've fallen for one, ask your designer to confirm orderability on your quote before planning around it.

Mantra Cabinet Colors at a Glance

The whole palette in one table. Finish names are marketing; the undertone column is what you'll live with.

Finish Family Type Undertone Door styles Best role
Snow White Paint Crisp white, subtly warm Omni, Classic Full kitchens, perimeters under a colored island, resale-safe
Mineral Gray Paint Mid-tone, warm-neutral Omni Full kitchens in mixed light, perimeter under a dark island
Graphite Gray Paint Deep, cool, charcoal Omni Islands and lower runs; full kitchens with strong daylight
Admiral Blue Paint True navy, dark charcoal cast Omni Islands, lower runs, statement kitchens
Rosemary Green Paint Muted gray-green, sage-adjacent Omni Islands, full kitchens for the organic-modern look
Hammock Wood Stain Light, natural wood tone, visible grain Omni Light-wood and Scandinavian looks, two-tone with Snow
Beachwood Wood Stain Dark smoky gray-brown, driftwood grain Omni Coastal-modern kitchens, islands, hiding wear

There's no cream and no black, but the seven cover what most 2026 kitchens order. Browse the set with pricing on our Mantra brand page or see every Mantra cabinet we carry.

Snow: The White

Snow is the workhorse, and the only finish on both doors. It's a crisp white with a subtly warm undertone: it reads white, not cream, next to white quartz and trim, and it doesn't go blue-cold under LED strip lighting. That makes it forgiving against warm oak floors and cool gray tile alike. Where it needs care is against other whites: beside a stark, blue-leaning countertop the warmth shows as a faint cream cast, so bring a Snow door to the slab yard. Our white kitchen cabinets guide covers warm-versus-cool white logic across every brand we carry.

Mineral and Graphite: The Two Grays

Mantra's two grays sit at opposite ends of the ladder: a mid-tone and a charcoal, with no light gray between.

Mineral

Mineral is a mid-tone, warm-neutral gray for people who want color without a dark room. Cool grays go lifeless in north-facing kitchens and clash with honey-toned floors; Mineral's brown-leaning undertone stays cozy in exactly those rooms, which makes it the most forgiving finish in the palette under mixed light. As a perimeter under a Graphite or Admiral island, it's the neutral that lets the dark color lead.

Graphite

Graphite is a deep, cool charcoal: the answer to "I want dark, but black scares me." It's at its best on an island or lower run under a Snow or Mineral perimeter. Wall-to-wall Graphite needs daylight and light counters, because dark-on-dark flattens a charcoal kitchen faster than any other mistake we see. Our gray kitchen cabinets guide maps where both grays sit in the wider market.

Mantra Rosemary: The Gray-Green

Rosemary pulls more search interest than any other finish in the line, and having designed with it, we'd say the interest is earned. It's a muted gray-green, more herb garden than mint, grayed down enough to behave like a neutral. It sits in the sage wave of recent seasons, but the gray is what should let it outlast the trend: when brighter greens start looking dated, a gray-green reads as a considered neutral.

It's Omni-only. It pairs with warm metal hardware, white or cream quartz, and white oak or Hammock accents, as a full kitchen or an island under Snow. Gray-greens shift more than any other color family under home lighting: under warm 2700K bulbs Rosemary leans olive, in cool north light it leans gray, and against a yellow-toned floor it can look faintly khaki, so put a door sample in the room first. Shop the Rosemary cabinets piece by piece. The cross-shop worth doing is KCD's Shaker Moss, the closest gray-leaning green in another line we carry; our KCD Shaker colors guide describes it.

Admiral: The Navy

Admiral is a true navy with a dark charcoal cast. Navy is the accent we're asked about most on two-tone quotes, and the look needs a specific tone: navy, not royal, and not black. In daylight Admiral is clearly blue; in evening light it deepens toward charcoal without going black. The build we quote most in this brand is an Admiral island under a Snow perimeter with white quartz. As a full-kitchen color it needs the same daylight as Graphite, and fingerprints show on any dark paint, so families with small children often keep it to the island. Shop the Admiral collection, and see our blue kitchen cabinets guide for navy across brands.

Hammock: The Light Wood Stain

The two stains separate this palette from most value lineups, which stock paint and maybe one espresso. Both show real grain, both hide fingerprints and scuffs better than the painted doors, and they sit at opposite ends of the wood ladder.

Hammock is a light, natural wood-tone stain with the grain clearly visible. Light-wood, Scandinavian-warm kitchens dominate design feeds right now, and Hammock delivers that tone on a Shaker door at a value price. It works as a full kitchen in a bright room, as a lower run under Snow uppers, or as the warm accent that keeps a Rosemary or Mineral kitchen from feeling cold. It sits on the light rung of our brown and stained cabinet guide.

Mantra Beachwood: The Dark Smoky Stain

Beachwood is the finish people ask about by name without quite knowing what it is: a dark, smoky gray-brown wood stain that highlights the grain. Driftwood, not espresso. With white walls, black hardware and a light counter it reads weathered and warm at once, and a dark stain with grain is the most livable finish in the line for households with dogs and children. Shop the Beachwood collection.

Three things to get right. Judge the sample against something warm and brown, such as a cutting board or your floor, because the gray only announces itself next to a true brown; held alone it can pass for a generic dark wood. Mind the floor: mid-brown flooring is its one real enemy, while pale tile or light oak makes it look deliberate. And treat it as a dark finish for lighting: wall-to-wall Beachwood in a north-facing kitchen goes cave-like, while the same stain on lower cabinets under a Snow perimeter keeps working.

Which Door Styles Carry Which Finishes

Door style Overlay Drawer fronts Finishes we carry
Omni Full overlay, 2 1/4" rail 5-piece Snow, Mineral, Hammock, Rosemary, Graphite, Beachwood, Admiral
Classic Partial overlay, 2 1/4" rail Slab Snow

Two consequences. First, "Omni Rosemary," "Omni Hammock" and "Omni Snow" are the door plus the color, not separate products, and Omni isn't a brand: "Omni cabinets" on a quote means Mantra cabinets with the Omni door. Second, don't mix the two doors in one kitchen for a two-tone effect; the overlays differ, so the reveals won't line up across a run. Do two colors within Omni. Our guide to full overlay vs partial overlay vs inset cabinets explains why the gap between doors changes the whole look.

Diagram comparing the Mantra Omni full overlay door with a 5-piece drawer front, carried in 7 finishes, and the Classic partial overlay door with a slab drawer front, carried in Snow only; both have a 2 1/4 inch rail
Omni covers the face frame and carries all seven finishes we stock; Classic shows the frame between doors and is carried in Snow.

One constraint matters before you fall for a color: Mantra ships standard sizes only, with no modifications and no changes once an order is placed. Settle the layout before you order samples.

Two-Tone Combinations That Work

These are the pairings that keep showing up in kitchens people still like years later, all within the Omni door:

Perimeter or uppers Island or lowers Why it works Counter
Snow Admiral Maximum contrast; the combination we're asked about most White quartz
Snow Rosemary The softer version: calm color, airy room White or cream quartz
Mineral Graphite Tonal gray, warm mid-tone above and charcoal below Light, near-mandatory
Snow uppers Hammock lowers Scandinavian tuxedo; no island needed, good for galleys White quartz
Snow uppers Beachwood lowers The coastal version of the same layout White or pale gray quartz

Two we'd steer you away from: Graphite with Admiral (two deep, cool colors close in value read as indecision) and Rosemary with Mineral (the gray in the green fights the gray in the neutral, and both go muddy). For more two-color logic across brands, see our two-tone kitchen cabinet pairings guide.

Counters, Floors, and Hardware by Finish

The full logic of coordinating cabinets, counters, backsplash and flooring is in our matching guide. The finish-specific shorthand:

Finish Counters that work Floors that work Hardware Watch out for
Snow Almost anything; white quartz, marble-look, butcher block Warm or cool wood, tile Any finish Blue-white counters make it read cream
Mineral White or cream quartz with warm veining Warm wood, especially honey and oak tones Nickel or brass Gray-veined cool stone can make it look muddy
Graphite Light counters Light wood or pale tile Brass or matte black Dark counters flatten the room
Admiral White quartz, marble-look Light oak, pale tile Brass, champagne bronze Blue-gray tile backsplashes fight it
Rosemary White or cream quartz, soapstone-look White oak, natural wood Brass, warm bronze Yellow-toned floors push it khaki
Hammock White quartz, pale stone; avoid busy veining Contrast: pale tile or darker wood Matte black, brass Same-tone floors blur into it
Beachwood White or pale gray quartz Light wood, pale tile Matte black Mid-brown floors make it heavy

The rule underneath: match the countertop veining's temperature to the cabinet's undertone, gray veining with the cool finishes (Graphite, Admiral) and cream veining with the warm ones (Snow, Mineral, Hammock), and sample the door against the actual slab. We don't sell decorative hardware, so buy handles and knobs separately; our cabinet hardware ideas by color guide goes finish by finish.

What the Finishes Cost

Mantra doesn't publish retail pricing; both doors are quoted on your layout. What we can say from quoting the line:

  • The door decides more than the color. Classic typically quotes modestly below the same layout in Omni, because partial overlay uses smaller door fronts and slab drawer faces. The box, drawers and hardware are identical in both.
  • Ask about finish pricing on the quote. Whether a stain and a paint price differently on your selection is a question for the itemized quote, not something we'll guess.
  • For a ballpark, our cabinet cost estimator puts Mantra in its most popular tier, $220–$400 per linear foot for cabinets only. The honest number is a quote on your layout.

Trade buyers get trade pricing through Captivating Pro. For everyone, send measurements to the free 3D design service: a designer replies within 1 business day, and the design and itemized quote follow within 24–48 hours.

Closest Fabuwood and KCD Equivalents

The two brands Mantra is compared against most by our customers are Fabuwood's framed Allure Galaxy and Kitchen Cabinet Distributors. None of these are exact matches; they're close enough to sample side by side.

Mantra finish Closest Fabuwood Galaxy Closest KCD How they differ
Snow Frost Brooklyn Bright White; Shaker Designer White Frost is the brighter, crisper white; Snow carries a touch more warmth
Mineral Nickel Brooklyn Modern Gray Nickel and Modern Gray are cooler mid-tone grays; Mineral sits a little warmer
Graphite Pitch Black No close charcoal paint Pitch Black is a near-black paint, darker than Graphite; KCD's Brooklyn Slate is a gray-brown, not a charcoal
Admiral Indigo Brooklyn Midnight Indigo is a flat slate navy; Midnight is a muted, grayer navy, lighter than Admiral
Rosemary Pistachio Green Shaker Moss Pistachio is lighter and yellower; Moss is the closer gray-leaning green
Hammock Desert Oak Oslo Oak Desert Oak is a pale rift-cut white oak on a Shaker door; Oslo's rift white oak sits on a slim-profile door
Beachwood Cobblestone; Mocha No close match; Shaker Kodiak is the nearest dark stain Cobblestone is a darker, near-black gray-brown stain; Mocha is an ashy mid-brown a step lighter; Kodiak is warmer and browner

Behind the table: Fabuwood's Allure Galaxy runs 15 finishes to Mantra's seven, with Blum hardware and a limited lifetime warranty, mapped in our Fabuwood cabinet colors guide. KCD spreads 17 finishes across its lineup, including rift white oak and walnut on Oslo, under a 5-year limited warranty; see KCD Brooklyn colors. For spec-by-spec face-offs, see Fabuwood vs Mantra and Mantra vs KCD.

When Seven Colors Isn't Enough

Mantra has no custom-color program; the seven are the seven, and that constraint helps buy the plywood box and dovetail drawers at this price. If you need a cream, a black or a paint chip already taped to your wall, two MasterBrand siblings we carry are the route. Diamond Edge opens 2,000+ Sherwin-Williams colors on 48+ door styles (see our Diamond review), and Decorá offers Sherwin-Williams custom color matching across 73 door styles (see our Decorá review). Both carry a limited lifetime warranty against Mantra's five years, at semi-custom money and lead times. If the seven cover your look, staying put is the better buy.

How to Sample Before You Order

Screens flatten these finishes and showroom photos flatter them, and the three people deliberate over longest, Mineral's warmth, Rosemary's gray-green and Beachwood's smoky cast, shift most between morning and evening. Order Mantra door samples straight into the cart; they ship nationwide. Order the two finishes you're torn between, set them on the floor against your countertop sample, and look at breakfast, midday and after dark under your own bulbs. If a finish looks "off" and you can't say why, it's almost always an undertone clash with the floor. Our guide to evaluating cabinet samples covers the rest. Keep the Mantra spec book open too, and confirm the size run fits your walls before you fall for a color.

What to Get in Writing

With no changes allowed after an order is placed, the paperwork has to be right the first time:

  1. Door style and finish, by name, on every line. "Omni Rosemary" or "Classic Snow," not "Mantra green."
  2. One door style per kitchen. If the quote mixes Omni and Classic, have it corrected.
  3. Written confirmation for anything outside the seven, such as Steam, or a Classic door in anything but Snow.
  4. Matching end panels and fillers in the finish of the run each one sits on.
  5. Touch-up material for each finish. Two-tone kitchens need two.
  6. Your delivery date range, confirmed on the quote for your finish.
  7. The warranty terms: 5-year limited, per Mantra's published warranty, which excludes rental and vacation-rental properties.

Our kitchen cabinet buying checklist covers the questions that apply to every brand.

Frequently Asked Questions

What colors do Mantra cabinets come in?

We carry seven: Snow (crisp white), Mineral (warm mid-tone gray), Graphite (charcoal), Admiral (navy), Rosemary (gray-green), and two wood stains, Hammock (light natural) and Beachwood (dark smoky gray). All seven are on the Omni door; Classic is carried in Snow. Mantra's own site also lists Steam, a warm white, which isn't in our stocked lineup.

What are Omni cabinets?

Omni is a door style, not a brand. It's Mantra's full overlay Shaker with a 2 1/4" rail and 5-piece drawer fronts, on the standard factory-assembled Mantra box from MasterBrand: plywood ends, dovetail drawers, soft-close hinges and full-extension glides, and a 5-year limited warranty. It comes in all seven finishes we carry.

What color is Mantra Rosemary?

A muted gray-green, closer to dried sage than mint, and grayed enough to behave like a neutral. It's Omni-only, pairs best with warm metal hardware, white quartz and white oak accents, and shifts more under home lighting than any other color in the palette, so sample it in the room.

What is Mantra Beachwood?

A dark, smoky gray-brown wood stain that shows the grain: driftwood rather than espresso. It suits a coastal-modern kitchen with white walls, black hardware and a pale counter, and hides fingerprints and wear better than the painted doors. Like the other dark finishes, it wants a bright room or an island role.

What is Omni Hammock?

The Omni door in the Hammock finish: a light, natural wood-tone stain with visible grain. It's the line's answer to the light-oak look, and works as a full kitchen in a bright room or as lower cabinets under Snow uppers.

Which Mantra door styles come in which colors?

Omni, the full overlay Shaker, carries all seven finishes we stock; Classic, the partial overlay Shaker, is carried in Snow. Don't mix the two doors in one kitchen, because their overlays differ and the reveals won't line up.

Can I order Mantra door samples?

Yes, for every finish we carry. Samples go straight into the cart and ship nationwide. Order the two you're deciding between and check them against your floor and countertop in morning, midday and evening light.

What if I want a color Mantra doesn't make?

Mantra has no custom-color program. For a specific paint color, look at the MasterBrand siblings we also carry: Diamond Edge offers 2,000+ Sherwin-Williams colors, and Decorá offers Sherwin-Williams custom color matching, both at semi-custom pricing and lead times.
