Read "hand-crafted" correctly: it means a made-to-order program in a large, well-equipped plant, not a one-person shop. The consequences are what you'd expect: consistent finishes, real modification capability, and lead times in weeks, not days. The 73 Door Styles: Classic, 5-Piece, Inset, and Beaded Inset

Most brands are organized as tiers, where box and hardware improve as you spend more. Decorá is organized by door construction. The box, drawer, hardware and warranty are the same across the catalog; what changes is how the door is built and how it sits in the face frame.

Two things fall out of that table. First, one door name recurs across groups: Prescott exists as a Classic overlay door, a 5-Piece door, an Inset door, an Inset 5-Piece door and a Beaded Inset door, so you can run one profile through the kitchen and change only how it sits, such as an inset island with overlay perimeter runs. Second, the 28 inset and beaded-inset options are the deepest flush-fit menu of any line we carry. What the catalog doesn't include matters too: every group is framed. There's no frameless program under this name, so a European-style handleless kitchen moves to Fabuwood Illume or Ovela, Modernform, or St. Martin Vista and NOMA.

Construction and Hardware

Decorá's construction page lists the same build behind all 73 doors: 1/2-inch plywood sides, fully adjustable 3/4-inch plywood shelves, solid wood drawer and roll-tray sides, backs and fronts with dovetail joints, full-extension guides with a Quiet Close feature, and fully concealed 6-way adjustable hinges. A 3/4-inch plywood shelf carries a stack of dinner plates across a 36-inch wall cabinet without the sag of thinner stock. One footnote on that page is worth knowing: its plywood components meet the ANSI/HPVA HP-1 standard and "may contain MDF or particleboard" cores, which is common industry practice but not what most shoppers picture when they read "plywood."

The honest caveat is hardware branding. The soft-close hinges and guides are standard on every opening and do their job, but they aren't Blum. Fabuwood puts Blum soft-close hinges and runners on its cabinets as standard (corner units such as Lazy Susans excepted); Diamond uses MasterBrand's Smart Stop system. If a Blum name on the spec sheet is a requirement, that's a real difference. If quiet, self-closing doors are the point, the difference is a brand name. One note on inset itself: a flush-fit door needs a tighter factory tolerance than an overlay door, and it needs to be hung so the reveal stays even as the house moves through the seasons. The factory side is why we're comfortable with the line for inset kitchens; the site side is your installer's job, so don't hire the cheapest crew for a flush-fit kitchen.

That's what makes the line so useful for designers matching millwork or a wall color the homeowner has already chosen. Custom color is a modification, not a free option; it moves the quote and may move the lead time, so get both numbers in writing.

The embellishment program: nearly 200 wood and metal options spanning moldings, decorative accents and finishing pieces. A furniture-style hood surround, turned island legs, applied panels on a peninsula end and stacked crown can be drawn and priced from the catalog instead of sent to a custom shop. Lead Times, Assembly, and Delivery

Every Decorá cabinet is built to order; there's no stocked program and no way to buy an inset kitchen off a shelf. Decorá's own site doesn't publish a fixed lead time; MasterBrand distributor listings give 4–6 weeks, so plan on typically 4–6 weeks of production, then typically 1–7 business days of continental-U.S. freight. The Limited Lifetime Warranty

Decorá's published warranty is a limited lifetime warranty from MasterBrand Cabinets to the first residential purchaser, in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, for cabinets used in a primary or secondary home. The terms say plainly what "limited" means:

• Rentals are out. A primary or secondary home doesn't include rental property or vacation rentals, even part-time (the terms name Airbnb and VRBO), and landlords and other commercial buyers fall under a separate commercial warranty.
• Labor is out. Installation, removal and reinstallation labor, and refinishing of surrounding work, aren't covered; the remedy is repair or replacement of the product.
• Bought-in parts carry shorter terms: vent hoods and blowers 1 year, lighting and powered components 2 years, decorative hardware 1 year.

This is the comparison that comes up most, because both are MasterBrand semi-custom lines with dovetail drawers, soft-close hardware, the same warranty, and quote-based pricing. These two answer the same question from opposite ends. Fabuwood is a pre-assembled mid-tier brand: plywood boxes on its framed Allure series, Blum soft-close hardware as standard, frameless Illume and Ovela lines, and published pricing, including a $4,400 standard-finish Galaxy 10×10 on our site.
