New Fabuwood Galaxy Macadamia Beige Cabinets: Color, Prices, Samples

Noor K.Noor K.

Fabuwood Macadamia Beige is a new painted finish on the Allure Galaxy shaker door: a soft, warm beige (about #E2CFB7 at the center of Fabuwood's own door swatch) that sits visibly warmer and deeper than Linen, the creamy off-white it will most often be compared with. Fabuwood lists it as a "Signature Select" paint, yet it prices exactly like Frost, Dove and Linen, box for box: a 12″ base is $560 list and $364 from us, and a 10×10 kitchen package is $4,400. We added the finish to our site on October 20, 2026, with about 800 products, a $25 door sample and a free priced specbook.

We're an authorized Fabuwood dealer, and we're builders who sell cabinets, so the questions we care about are practical ones. This article covers what the color actually looks like next to the other light Galaxy paints, what goes with it, what it costs, what you can order today, and the few things Fabuwood hasn't released in this finish yet.

Key takeaways

  • It is a paint, not a stain: a smooth, warm beige with no wood grain, on Fabuwood's Galaxy shaker in the framed Allure line.
  • Next to its neighbors, it is the warmest and deepest of the light Galaxy paints. Frost is a cool bright white, Dove an off-white with a gray-taupe cast, Linen a creamy near-off-white, and Macadamia Beige a true light beige.
  • Fabuwood calls it a Signature Select finish, but it sits on the standard Galaxy price list: B12 $560 list, $364 from us; SB36 $755 list, $490.75 from us. Only Desert Oak and Natural Oak cost more.
  • The 10×10 Kitchen bundle is $4,400, the same as the other standard Galaxy finishes.
  • About 800 products are online now. Crown and most top moldings, refrigerator end panels, the painted Allure hoods and vanity tops aren't listed by Fabuwood in this color yet.
  • Beige shifts more than any other color family under different light. Order the $25 door sample and look at it in your own kitchen before you commit.

What Fabuwood Released, and Where It Fits

Fabuwood's Galaxy door page now carries a new group heading. Alongside the familiar Signature finishes (Frost, Dove, Linen and the rest) and the Designer finishes, there is a "Signature Select" group, and it holds two paints: Oyster and Macadamia Beige. When we added the color to our site on October 20, Fabuwood's own dedicated finish page for it wasn't live yet, so if you search the manufacturer's site and find only the door page, that's why. The cabinets themselves are released and orderable.

Galaxy is the door most people picture when they think of Fabuwood: a contemporary shaker in the brand's framed Allure line, and the line's stocked collection. If you're new to how Fabuwood organizes its doors and tiers, our Allure series explainer and the Allure collection page lay out the family, and the full Fabuwood color guide puts every finish in one place.

Why it matters: until now the warm end of the light Galaxy paints stopped at Linen, a cream most people call off-white. This finish gives Galaxy a paint that clearly reads as beige, on the same door, box and price list.

What the Color Looks Like

Picture the inside of a macadamia shell, or unbleached linen paper: a light, warm, sandy beige with a soft yellow-tan undertone. It is light enough to run on every cabinet in a room without closing it in, but it has enough color that nobody will mistake it for white. On Fabuwood's own door swatch the center panel samples to about #E2CFB7. That hex is a useful reference for comparing against paint chips and online renders, but it is a screen value from a photographed door, not a factory paint formula, so treat it as a guide rather than a match.

Because it's painted, no wood grain shows. The shaker profile throws soft shadow lines at the inside edges of the frame, and on a beige those read slightly deeper than on a white, giving the door a little more definition than Frost or Linen.

The color belongs to the warm-neutral family that has been replacing gray in kitchens. For where beige ends and greige begins, our beige and greige cabinets guide walks through the shades and the lines that carry them.

The same 10x10 layout in Linen (left) and Macadamia Beige (right): only the cabinet paint changes, and the new beige reads warmer and deeper. (The crown in this render isn't released in Macadamia Beige yet.)

Macadamia Beige vs Linen, Dove and Frost

The four light Galaxy paints line up neatly from cool to warm, and seeing them side by side is the quickest way to understand the new one. All four are on the same price list, so the choice really is about color.

Finish Swatch sample How it reads Pick it when
Galaxy Frost #DDDDDD Cool, bright white as Fabuwood publishes it; no visible warmth You want a crisp white kitchen, white quartz and cool or neutral light
Galaxy Dove #E0DAD3 Soft off-white with a gray-taupe cast You want white that isn't stark, with a slightly muted, grounded feel
Galaxy Linen #E2DECD Creamy, warm, close to off-white You want warmth but still want people to call the kitchen "white"
Galaxy Macadamia Beige #E2CFB7 Soft warm beige; clearly colored, warmer and deeper than Linen You want the cabinets themselves to read as beige, not as a warm white

The comparison that matters most is with Linen. On paper the two swatch values share the same red, but the new finish has less green and noticeably less blue, and that is what you see: Linen looks like cream, the new finish looks like sand. If you've been leaning toward Linen and keep wishing it had a bit more color, this is the finish you were waiting for. If Linen already feels slightly too yellow to you, the new beige will feel more so.

Against Dove the difference is temperature. Dove's gray-taupe cast keeps it calm and slightly cool beside warm wood; Macadamia Beige leans the other way, toward yellow-tan. For a deeper look at Dove specifically, our Galaxy Dove guide covers how that finish behaves.

How It Behaves in Your Light

Beige is the color family that changes most from room to room, and this finish is no exception. The same door can look like pale sand at noon and like warm caramel-cream under evening bulbs. A few patterns are worth knowing before you order:

  • North-facing rooms get cooler daylight, so the finish usually looks calmer and a touch grayer than the swatch.
  • South- and west-facing rooms get warm afternoon light that pushes the yellow undertone forward, so the cabinets read more golden late in the day.
  • Warm-white bulbs (around 2700K) add more yellow on top of a yellow-leaning paint. If your kitchen lighting is very warm and you want the cabinets to stay fresh, a neutral-white bulb (around 3000–3500K) keeps the beige reading as beige.
  • Screens are the least reliable judge; every photo of a beige is a guess, including the ones here.

The fix is cheap: stand the door sample on your counter next to your countertop sample and floor, and look at it morning, midday and night.

Countertops, Floors, Hardware and Walls

A warm beige is an easy color to build around, as long as the surfaces next to it agree on temperature. These are the combinations we'd suggest starting from.

Countertops. White or soft-white quartz is the safest anchor, and it keeps the room bright. Quartz or marble-look surfaces with warm, creamy or taupe veining sit very naturally with this paint. Be careful with stark blue-white counters and strongly gray-veined stone: they can make a warm beige look slightly dingy by contrast. Butcher block on an island works well too, as long as the wood is lighter or darker than the cabinets rather than the same value.

Backsplash. White or off-white subway tile is the straightforward choice; a cream zellige adds texture without fighting the cabinets.

Floors. Mid-tone and light oak, warm-toned luxury vinyl and natural stone tiles all suit it. The one thing to avoid is a floor the same value as the cabinets, because a beige cabinet over a beige floor tends to blur together. If your floor is a pale sandy tone, think about a darker island or a darker base run to separate the two.

Hardware. Matte black gives the crispest, most graphic look, as in the sink-base photo above. Brushed brass and champagne bronze lean into the warmth for a softer, more classic kitchen, and oil-rubbed bronze suits a farmhouse direction. Polished chrome can feel a little cold against this color. Our hardware ideas by cabinet color goes into finishes and sizes in more detail.

Walls. Warm whites and soft creams are the easy match. Avoid the same beige on the walls: a step lighter or darker reads intentional, a near-match looks like a mistake.

Two-Tone Partners From the Galaxy Line

Because every standard Galaxy finish shares one box, one door and one price list, mixing two of them on one order is straightforward. A warm beige makes a good partner for several of them:

  • Indigo island, beige perimeter. Indigo is a muted slate-navy paint; against warm beige it gives the room a focal point without making it dark.
  • Pistachio Green lowers or island. Pistachio Green is a soft green paint; next to a warm beige it feels relaxed and current, especially with brass hardware.
  • Natural Oak or Desert Oak island. A wood island under beige uppers and perimeter brings real grain into an otherwise painted kitchen. Note that the oak finishes price higher than the rest of Galaxy; our Natural Oak launch article explains that finish and its price gap.
  • Cobblestone island or bar wall. Cobblestone is a grained stain in a near-black gray-brown, so it gives strong contrast with visible grain rather than a second flat paint.
  • Beige lowers, Linen uppers. A subtle tone-on-tone combination that keeps the top of the room light while the base cabinets carry the color.

There's no wrong answer if both colors share a temperature; our two-tone cabinet color pairings guide covers the general rules.

What's Behind the Door

A new color doesn't change anything under the paint. The finish is built exactly like every other Galaxy cabinet:

Component Galaxy specification
Door Full-overlay five-piece shaker, mortise-and-tenon joints, ¾″ solid-wood stiles and rails (2½″ wide) around a ⅜″ recessed MDF center panel
Cabinet box ½″ veneered plywood, framed construction, natural wood-veneer interior
Hinges Blum® Compact clip hinges, 6-way adjustable, 110° opening, Blumotion soft-close
Drawers ⅝″ solid-wood dovetail drawer boxes on Blum® Tandem full-extension runners with Blumotion soft-close
Shelves ¾″ adjustable shelves
Certification and warranty KCMA certified, AWI Premium Grade, Fabuwood limited lifetime warranty

The MDF center panel isn't a corner cut: on a painted shaker it moves less with humidity than solid wood, so it's less likely to show a hairline crack where panel meets frame.

What It Costs

Here's the part that surprises people: despite the "Signature Select" label, this color doesn't carry a premium. It sits on the same price list as Frost, Linen, Dove and the other standard Galaxy paints and stains, identical box for box. Within Galaxy, only Desert Oak and Natural Oak price higher. Fabuwood sets a minimum advertised price, so we show the list price and our price at 35% off list on every item.

Cabinet Code List price Our price (35% off list)
12″ base cabinet B12 $560 $364.00
36″ sink base SB36 $755 $490.75
30″ × 36″ wall cabinet W3036 $695 $451.75
18″ × 24″ × 84″ pantry TP182484 $1,620 $1,053.00
33″ single oven cabinet, 84″ tall OC3384S $2,705 $1,758.25
Door sample — — $25

Finished sides are priced per exposed side. At list, a finished side is $96 on base and vanity cabinets, $77 on most wall cabinets, $260 on wall cabinets with drawers, $260 on 24″-deep tall cabinets and $195 on 12″-deep talls, all with the same 35% off on our site. Plan for them anywhere the side of a cabinet shows: the end of a run, beside a refrigerator opening, or on an island.

For the full catalog of codes and numbers across every Fabuwood line, our Fabuwood price list breaks it down, and how much Fabuwood cabinets cost explains what moves a whole-kitchen quote up or down. These are cabinet prices only; we sell and ship cabinets and don't provide installation.

The 10×10 Kitchen Bundle

If you want a quick yardstick, or a small kitchen that fits the standard layout, the Fabuwood Allure Galaxy Macadamia Beige 10×10 Kitchen is $4,400 on our site, the same price as the other standard Galaxy finishes. It includes these boxes:

  • Wall cabinets: W2730, W2130, WDC2430 (24″ × 30″ diagonal corner wall), W1830, W1230 and W361224 (36″ wide, 12″ high and 24″ deep, over the refrigerator)
  • Base cabinets: BLB42/45 (blind base for the corner), B12, SB36 (36″ sink base) and B33
  • Two TK8 toe kicks (96″ each)

Finished ends, fillers, crown and light rail are priced separately, because they depend on your room. Keep in mind that crown and most top moldings aren't listed in this color yet (more on that below), so if your design calls for crown, talk to us before you order. Treat the bundle as a pricing benchmark; few real kitchens are exactly 10×10.

What You Can Order Today, and What Isn't Out Yet

A new finish rarely arrives with the whole catalog on day one, and we'd rather you hear the gaps from us than find them halfway through a design. Right now the Galaxy Macadamia Beige collection has about 800 products online:

Category Available now
Base cabinets 86, including sink bases, drawer bases and corner solutions
Wall cabinets 147, plus glass-door wall cabinets
Tall cabinets 39: 30 pantries and 9 oven cabinets, in 84″, 90″ and 96″ heights
Vanities Vanity bases, vanity sink bases, combos and drawer bases
Hoods Allure hoods with Timber or Walnut wood accents, plus hood ventilation parts
Storage accessories Roll-outs, pull-outs and drawer inserts
Trim and parts Fillers, skins, light rail and base moldings, valances, loose shelves and parts

What Fabuwood hasn't listed in this color yet, so we don't sell it yet:

  • Crown and most other top moldings
  • Refrigerator end panels and other finished panels
  • The fully painted Allure hoods (the RHE, RHF and RHS styles without wood accents)
  • Vanity tops
  • Wainscot and decorative panels

Two size gaps also apply. There are no 39″-tall wall cabinets and no 93″-tall pantries or oven cabinets in this finish; within Galaxy, those heights are offered only in Frost, Dove, Indigo and Timber. If your plan depends on those heights, that's a reason to pick one of those four finishes.

We'll add the missing items as soon as Fabuwood releases them. If your design depends on one of them, ask us before you order; we'll tell you honestly what's available and suggest the cleanest workaround, such as a wood-accent hood in place of a painted one, or a different top treatment while crown is pending.

Samples, Free Design and the Specbook

There are three practical steps, and we'd do them in this order.

1. Order the door sample. The Galaxy Macadamia Beige door sample is $25, available as a small chip or a large door-and-drawer front. It's refundable with an authorized return (the door price, less shipping), and on orders over $1,000 you keep it and get a full refund. If you're torn between this and Linen, order both; the difference that looks small on a screen is obvious with two real doors side by side.

2. Get a free 3D design. Send your measurements, a photo of the room and the finishes you're considering through our free kitchen design service. A designer lays out the kitchen in real Galaxy box sizes, renders it and returns an itemized quote, working around anything not yet released in this color.

3. Use the specbook. The free Galaxy Macadamia Beige specbook is a 41-page priced PDF covering 948 items, with separate Specbook & Guide books by type (base, wall, tall, vanity, hoods, accessories, moldings, glass doors and parts).

On timing: Galaxy is Fabuwood's stocked line, which usually makes it one of the quicker Fabuwood doors to get. Because Macadamia Beige is a brand-new Signature Select finish, confirm the current lead time with us when you order rather than assuming it matches Frost or Dove. Your quote will state it.

Who It Suits, and Who Should Pick Linen or Dove

This finish suits the homeowner who wants a light kitchen with obvious warmth, who likes the look of natural materials (oak, warm stone, brass, linen fabrics) and who has had enough of gray. It fits transitional, warm-modern and farmhouse kitchens equally well, and it tends to be forgiving: a light warm color usually shows everyday smudges less than a bright white.

Choose a different light Galaxy paint if:

  • You want the kitchen to read as white. Linen gives you warmth while still looking white; Frost is the bright, clean option.
  • Your counters and backsplash run cool, with gray veining, blue-white quartz or cool gray tile you're keeping. Dove's gray-taupe cast will sit more comfortably with them.
  • Your floor is a pale beige or sandy tone you're not replacing, and you don't want a two-tone kitchen. A same-value floor and cabinet tend to merge; Frost or Dove will separate better.
  • You need 39″ uppers or 93″ talls. Frost and Dove offer those heights; and if you need crown molding right away, check with us first.

If you're still weighing whether a beige will age well, our article on the cabinet colors that last is a useful sanity check, and painted vs stained cabinets covers the practical differences between a paint like this one and a stain.

Frequently Asked Questions

What color is Fabuwood Macadamia Beige?

A soft, warm, light beige with a yellow-tan undertone, in a painted finish with no visible wood grain. Fabuwood's door swatch samples to about #E2CFB7 at the center panel. It's visibly warmer and deeper than Linen and reads as beige rather than off-white.

Is the new beige the same as Linen?

No. Linen is a creamy color close to off-white (about #E2DECD on its swatch), and most people would call a Linen kitchen white. The new finish has more color and more warmth, so it reads as a true beige. Ordering both $25 samples is the quickest way to see the difference.

Does a Signature Select finish cost more?

Not in this case. It's on the same Galaxy price list as Frost, Dove and Linen, box for box. A B12 base is $560 list and $364 on our site; the 10×10 Kitchen bundle is $4,400. Only Desert Oak and Natural Oak price higher in Galaxy.

Can I get crown molding in this finish?

Not yet. Fabuwood hasn't listed crown and most top moldings in this color so far, along with refrigerator end panels, painted Allure hoods and vanity tops. Light rail and base moldings are available. We'll add the rest when Fabuwood releases them; ask us if your design depends on any of them.

Is the finish available in bathroom vanities?

Yes. Vanity bases, vanity sink bases, combos and vanity drawer bases are available. Vanity tops aren't listed in this color yet, so you'd pair the cabinet with a top sourced separately.

How long does it take to ship?

Galaxy is Fabuwood's stocked line, but this is a brand-new finish, so we confirm the current lead time on each quote rather than quoting a general number. Ask us when you order.

Do you install the cabinets?

No. We design, price and ship cabinets; installation is arranged by you with your own contractor or installer. Your contractor can work from our free 3D design and itemized quote.

The best next step is a sample on your counter and a design on your screen. Order the $25 door sample, then send your measurements to our free 3D design service and ask for the layout in Macadamia Beige, or in Macadamia Beige and Linen side by side if you're torn.
