Fabuwood Allure is the framed, pre-assembled family at the center of Fabuwood's catalog: six collections — Galaxy, Luna, Fusion, Nexus, Echo, and Luxe — built on the same ½-inch veneered plywood box, solid wood dovetail drawers, and Blum® soft-close hardware, differing only in door profile and finish. Galaxy is the 15-finish shaker; Luna is the slim-frame minimalist; Fusion and Nexus are the wide-frame five-piece doors; Echo and Luxe carry 22-finish decks. A Galaxy 10×10 cabinet package is $4,400 on our site in twelve of its finishes ($5,300 in the two oaks), and the other collections run higher.

What "Allure" Means Inside Fabuwood's Lineup

Fabuwood sorts its catalog by construction first and style second. Allure is the framed family: a solid wood face frame, full-overlay doors, and a veneered plywood box. The line name tells you the box and hardware; the collection name (Galaxy, Luna, and so on) tells you which door is on the front.

Beside it sit two frameless lines. Illume is a frameless European box built from engineered furniture board with Blum MERIVOBOX metal drawers (per Fabuwood's current Illume spec book), wearing the Catalina slab door in 15 finishes. Ovela is the newer premium frameless line: the same fifteen Catalina finishes on a plywood box. Below it sit two builder-grade series you'll mostly meet through contractors: Quest, which keeps dovetail drawers but uses a traditional (partial) overlay door and Tandem 80%-extension runners, and Value Premium, a modified full-overlay door with HDF frames and panels. Both share the limited lifetime warranty for purchases from October 1, 2024 onward.

Fabuwood is headquartered in a large plant in Newark, New Jersey, and in January 2025 announced a manufacturing facility in Tijuana, Mexico with a Southern California distribution center, so ask which facility fills your order if origin matters to you. Galaxy: The 15-Finish Stocked Shaker

Galaxy is the collection most people picture: a classic five-piece shaker with ¾-inch solid wood stiles and rails 2½ inches wide, joined mortise-and-tenon around a ⅜-inch recessed MDF center panel, in the widest finish range of any Fabuwood door. Like every Allure collection in a stock finish, it typically ships in about 2 weeks, and with the widest palette and lowest entry price it's our first suggestion for a remodel on a budget.

Paint or stain matters more than the color family, because it decides how the door ages. Fabuwood's Allure spec book lists Frost, Dove, Linen, Nickel, and Indigo as paints, and Cobblestone, Horizon, Mocha, and Timber as stains, with a note that stains vary from door to door because every piece of wood takes color differently. Painted doors give a uniform color and eventually show hairline lines at the frame joints; stained doors show grain and hide them. Cobblestone is the one people misfile: almost black from across a room, but a stain with visible grain up close.

Natural Oak is the newest finish: rift-cut white oak with a light white-wash stain and clear glaze that reads as a warm, muted tan-beige, warmer and less gray than Desert Oak. Pricing isn't flat across all fifteen: the two oaks run about 20% higher. A B12 base is $364.00 on our site in the twelve ($560 list) and $438.75 in either oak ($675 list).

Luna: Slim-Frame Matte Minimalism

Luna gives the calm of a flat-front kitchen without the cold. It is still a five-piece, mortise-and-tenon door, not a slab: narrow stiles and rails around a ⅝-inch moisture-resistant MDF/veneer center panel, so from across the room it reads nearly flat while keeping a shadow line up close. One spec detail matters: Fabuwood builds Luna's frames from solid wood on the stained finishes and from HDF on the painted ones. The narrow rails matter most on the stains, where the grain runs almost uninterrupted across the door.

Six finishes: Dove (paint), plus Kona, Timber, Natural Oak, Desert Oak, and Truffle. Dove in matte is the signature look; Timber and the two oaks are how you get a natural-wood kitchen that still reads modern. Against Nexus, the difference is temperament: Luna soft and organic, Nexus precise and architectural.

Fusion: The Wide-Rail Transitional Door

Fusion is what happens when a shaker gains weight: ¾-inch stiles and rails 3 inches wide (Galaxy's are 2½) around a ⅜-inch reversed MDF/veneer panel, so the panel is smaller and the door reads more substantial on the wall. It bridges classic and contemporary, which is what "transitional" is supposed to mean.

Five finishes on our site: Dove, Oyster and Stone (paints), and Kona and Timber (stains). Fusion Dove is the configuration we quote most; Oyster is a warm mushroom taupe, Stone a taupe-gray darker than Galaxy Nickel. It suits kitchens with substantial stone or heavy fixtures, and buyers who find a standard shaker a little thin.

Nexus: The Widest Frame, in Frost Only

Nexus gets described online as a slab. It is not one. Fabuwood's Allure spec book lists Nexus as a five-piece, mortise-and-tenon door with ¾-inch-thick stiles and rails 3¼ inches wide around a ⅜-inch reversed MDF center panel, with a matching five-piece drawer front. That makes it the widest frame in the line: Galaxy's rails are 2½ inches and Fusion's are 3 inches.

It comes in one stock finish, Frost, the same bright white paint as Galaxy Frost. Nexus earns its place in kitchens where a plain shaker feels too thin and Fusion's colors are not needed: the wide frame reads substantial on tall pantries and long runs of uppers. Fabuwood's spec book also lists Nexus in its Designer Collection colors, and the custom paint program covers any other color; if you want a genuinely flat front, that is Luxe on this box or the Catalina slab on Illume and Ovela. A $25 door sample shows the frame proportions better than any photo.

Echo and Luxe: The 22-Finish Collections

Echo and Luxe are the higher-tier doors, each with a 22-finish deck; our site lists three signature finishes for each. Echo is a refined five-piece shaker in Dove, Mocha (the ashy mid-brown) and Timber (the lighter golden tan), with a designer palette that stretches to Cabernet Red, Sage Green, Hunter Green and Izel Blue. It is the door we reach for on color-driven, two-tone kitchens.

Luxe drops the frame-and-panel idea entirely: a smooth flat-panel door wrapped in wood veneer, stocked in Frost, Desert Oak, and Canyon Oak. Canyon Oak gives continuous honey-to-caramel grain. It sits at the top of the framed line's price range and is the closest you can get to the European slab look on the framed box.

Beyond those decks, Fabuwood's custom paint program reaches every framed door. Any of the six collections can be factory-finished in any color from the full Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore catalogs; we verify the color code as a certified dealer. It isn't available on the frameless Illume and Ovela slabs. A painted-to-order color carries an upcharge and typically takes 6–8 weeks, both confirmed when we quote.

What About Onyx and Imperio?

Fabuwood's Allure spec book (V.01.20.25) lists two more doors we don't stock online: Onyx (a five-piece door with 3-inch stiles and rails around a reversed panel, in Frost, Cobblestone and Horizon) and Imperio (an applied-molding door in Dove and Nickel). How Every Cabinet in the Line Is Built

These are the construction specs from Fabuwood's Allure spec book, shared by every collection; only the door changes.

The Blum® hardware is standard rather than an upgrade, and the face frame makes this a framed line even when the door, like Luxe's, looks almost frameless. Box dimensions are the same across all six; our sizes and specs guide lays out every height, width, and factory modification.

The Limited Lifetime Warranty and Its Fine Print

Fabuwood's spec book is specific about scope: the limited lifetime warranty applies "only on Allure, Illume, Ovela, Value Premium, and Quest series cabinets" (Ovela spec book, February 2026), to the first residential purchaser, against defects in material and workmanship under normal residential use, for as long as that purchaser owns the home. It is not transferable to later owners. Allure and Illume bought before January 26, 2023, and Value Premium and Quest bought before October 1, 2024, fall under the older five-year warranty.

Read the exclusions, because they're real. The warranty does not cover Blum hinges or other third-party accessories. Visible cracking around the joints of painted doors, color change over time, and door warp up to ¼ inch are treated as normal. Installations without year-round climate control, moisture and heat damage, and non-residential use are excluded. Fabuwood repairs or replaces at its discretion (or refunds or credits if that isn't feasible) and doesn't pay removal or reinstallation. Claims run through us as the selling dealer, with photos. Freight damage is a separate process: inspect every box at delivery and note visible damage before signing.

Lead Times: What to Ask on Your Quote

Lead time is simpler than it looks: every Allure collection in a stock finish, Galaxy, Luna, Fusion, Nexus, Echo and Luxe alike, typically ships in about 2 weeks. Custom paint colors are painted to order and typically take 6–8 weeks. Your quote states the current lead time for your exact collection and finish, and freight transit (typically 1–7 business days in the continental U.S.) is added after dispatch. Door samples ship faster than cabinets, so sampling first adds little to the timeline.

How to Read Collection Names and SKUs

A quote for this line arrives as a list of codes. On our listings the collection and finish are abbreviated to initials: GF is Galaxy Frost, so GF B12 is a Galaxy Frost base cabinet 12 inches wide. Size codes are width-first: B24 is a base 24 inches wide, W1230 a wall cabinet 12 wide and 30 tall. The Allure spec book has the full dimension tables.

Accessory codes work the same way, and one gets searched a lot: TC18, as in "Nexus TC18". It isn't a cabinet. TC18 BLUM is Fabuwood's 18-inch trash-can pull-out on Blum runners, an insert for a base cabinet you order separately; TC18FHD BLUM is the version for a full-height-door base. The spec book marks all of them "not for ADA cabinet use." "Nexus TC18" is simply that pull-out behind a Nexus Frost door. In Galaxy's twelve standard finishes, TC15, TC18 and TC21 are $617.50, $734.50 and $809.25 on our site, with the FHD versions at the same prices; we quote Nexus on request.

The mistake we see on self-drawn quotes is ordering the insert without the cabinet, or the standard TC18 behind a full-height-door base. Order the base and insert as a pair and match the FHD suffix to the front.

What the Line Costs, Collection by Collection

Galaxy's 10×10 package is a real product price on our site: $4,400 in twelve Galaxy finishes, $5,300 in Desert Oak or Natural Oak, and the other Allure doors are sold as packages too ($5,400; $6,500 in Luna oak). The ranges are our estimates from recent quotes for a standard 10×10 kitchen, cabinets only, with our Fabuwood pricing (35% off list) applied. Accessories and freight are itemized separately.

Per-cabinet numbers to sanity-check a line item, Galaxy standard finishes on our site: B12 base $364.00, B15 $377.00, B18 $409.50, B21 $432.25; the same B12 in either oak is $438.75. When comparing dealers, compare the same SKUs, and check whether each quote is list or discounted.

Screens flatten every finish on this page, so the door sample is the cheapest insurance in the process. A Fabuwood door sample is $25 in any collection and finish we carry. Tape it to an existing cabinet and look at it morning and evening.

Which Collection for Which Kitchen

The sorting we do on the phone, compressed:

• Classic, farmhouse, or resale-minded remodel on a budget: Galaxy. Widest palette and lowest entry price. Frost with an Indigo island consistently works.
• Transitional kitchen with heavy stone or substantial fixtures: Fusion, most often in Dove.
• Soft-modern, Scandinavian, or japandi palette: Luna in Dove, Natural Oak, or Desert Oak.
• Crisp white kitchen that wants more presence than a shaker: Nexus Frost, whose 3¼-inch frame holds its own on tall runs.
• Color-driven or two-tone design: Echo. A Sage Green island under a white perimeter is a favorite, and the custom paint program covers anything the 22-finish deck misses.
• Flat-front kitchen on framed pricing: Luxe, in Frost for white or Canyon Oak for continuous woodgrain.
• Handle-less European slab in gloss or wood texture: not this line. Look at Illume or Ovela, and price both against Luxe.

What to Watch Out For, and Who Should Skip It

Where buyers misjudge the line: painted five-piece doors will eventually show hairline lines at the joints, which the warranty treats as normal (choose a stain or the flat Luxe panel if that would bother you); Nexus in anything but Frost means a designer or custom color; a quote in Frost won't show Galaxy's 20% oak premium, so ask for the finish you actually want; and every collection ships in about 2 weeks in a stock finish, while designer and custom colors typically take 6–8 weeks, so get the lead time for your exact finish in writing.

Who should skip Fabuwood Allure: buyers whose inspiration photos are handle-less gloss or textured European slabs (that look lives on the frameless Catalina lines, including Ovela); anyone who needs dimensions beyond the factory modification list; and anyone who wants installation included with the cabinets, since we design, quote and ship nationwide but don't install (in New Jersey, installation is available through our sister company, Captivating Construction Group). If budget is the binding constraint, Quest or Value Premium exist for a reason and we'll quote them honestly.
