Fabuwood vs KraftMaid Cabinets: Box, Sizing, Warranty and Price Compared

Noor K.Noor K.

Fabuwood vs KraftMaid comes down to one trade. Fabuwood gives you a plywood box, Blum hardware and a short lead time in standard sizes, at a price you can see before you ask. KraftMaid gives you made-to-measure sizing and a much larger door and finish catalog, and it builds each order after you place it. Its standard box is engineered wood with a vinyl skin, and plywood is an upgrade on two of its three programs.

Where we stand: we are an authorized Fabuwood dealer and we do not sell KraftMaid. We quote against it often, because a KraftMaid number from Lowe's, Home Depot or a local showroom is frequently the other quote on the table. Every KraftMaid fact here comes from KraftMaid's own published material: its warranty page, its FAQ, and the three specification books it links from its website (the 2026 Q1 Lowe's book, the 2025 Home Depot book and the 2026 Q1 Vantage book for independent dealers). Every Fabuwood fact comes from the January 2025 Allure spec book and the catalog we sell from. Where we couldn't confirm something, we say so.

Key Takeaways
  • Box: Fabuwood Allure and Ovela ship on plywood boxes as standard; Fabuwood Illume is furniture board. KraftMaid's standard box is engineered wood with a natural-birch vinyl interior. All Plywood Construction is a 20% upcharge in the 2026 Q1 Lowe's spec book, 27% in the 2025 Home Depot book, and standard on the dealer-only Vantage program.
  • Sizing: KraftMaid can change width, depth and height in 1/16" increments. Fabuwood Allure offers depth cuts, toe-kick and base-height cuts from a fixed list, but no width changes.
  • Drawers and hinges: both use solid-wood dovetail drawers and soft-close, six-way adjustable hinges. Fabuwood's Allure spec book names Blum; KraftMaid's books list its own Whisper Touch hinges and runners.
  • Warranty: both are limited lifetime for the original owner and neither transfers; the exclusions differ.
  • Lead time: KraftMaid's FAQ says four to six weeks of production plus about a week of delivery. Fabuwood Galaxy ships in 7 days to 3 weeks; other lines run 2–5 weeks.
  • Pricing: compare the same SKUs, box spec and finish type on both quotes; the upcharges are where "similar" quotes stop being similar.

The Two Brands in One Table

Most comparison tables line up "KraftMaid" against "Fabuwood" as if each were one product. Neither is. Fabuwood sells three lines, and KraftMaid sells the same catalog through three channels with different construction defaults. The table below uses Fabuwood's framed Allure line, which is the fair match for KraftMaid's framed cabinets, and notes where the other lines differ.

Two rows in that table decide most kitchens: the standard box and custom sizing. The rest come out roughly even or matter only for particular designs. For a one-screen scorecard, see our Fabuwood and KraftMaid comparison page.

One Name, Three KraftMaid Programs

This trips up the most people, including some installers. KraftMaid publishes a separate specification guide for each channel: the 2026 Q1 book for Lowe's, the 2025 book for The Home Depot (still the current Home Depot edition on KraftMaid's site as of September 2026), and the 2026 Q1 book for KraftMaid Vantage, which KraftMaid's FAQ says is "exclusively available at independent dealers." The cabinets look alike on paper. The upcharges do not.

Upcharge, as printed in each spec book Lowe's (2026 Q1) Home Depot (2025) Vantage, dealers (2026 Q1)
All Plywood Construction, 1/2" ends 20% 27% Standard, no charge
Painted finish (vs stain) 15% 15% 13% / 9% / 5% by price group band
Change width, one dimension 30% 30% 15%
Two dimensions changed 40% 40% 15%
Three dimensions changed 50% 50% 15%
Warranty wording in the book "As long as they own it, we warrant it" in all three

So "KraftMaid" on a quote tells you less than the program name does. A Vantage quote with plywood included and a Lowe's quote without it are not the same cabinet, even if the door names match. And a program that charges less for modifications may start from a different base price, so the only useful comparison is total price for the same spec. KraftMaid's own FAQ puts it plainly: cost "varies greatly depending on the type and size of the cabinet, in addition to your choice of door style, wood species, finish and construction upgrades." The spec books are linked from KraftMaid's product specifications page if you want to check a line yourself.

Fabuwood doesn't split this way. There is one Allure spec, one price list per line, and every authorized dealer orders from the same system. What differs between Fabuwood dealers is the discount off list, not the cabinet.

Are KraftMaid Cabinets Solid Wood? The Box, Part by Part

Neither brand builds a solid-wood box. The real question is whether the sides, bottom and back are plywood or engineered board, and for KraftMaid that depends on the program and the options on the order. KraftMaid's FAQ describes its case material as "medium-density fiberboard (MDF) hardwood panels or veneered plywood." The doors, drawer fronts and face frames are the parts it calls solid: its FAQ says it uses "solid milled lumber" there.

Diagram comparing a plywood cabinet box with 1/2-inch plywood sides and a 3/4-inch shelf against an engineered wood box with a vinyl skin over an engineered core
The standard KraftMaid case is engineered wood with a vinyl finish; Fabuwood Allure's is veneered plywood. KraftMaid sells plywood as an option on its retail programs.

Per the spec books, KraftMaid's standard cabinet has 1/2" end panels finished in natural woodgrain vinyl inside and out, a 1/2" vinyl-clad bottom, 3/4" vinyl-clad adjustable shelves, a 3/8" back and a 3/4" solid hardwood face frame, with full-depth I-beam braces across the top of base cabinets. With All Plywood Construction on the order, the sides, top, bottom and I-beams become 1/2" plywood, the shelves 3/4" plywood and the base back 3/8" plywood. KraftMaid adds its own footnote: under the Department of Commerce definition, the core of hardwood plywood can include "veneers, particleboard, engineered wood and Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF)", and its plywood parts may use hybrid cores. That applies across the industry: "plywood" on any spec sheet describes the faces and structure, not a guarantee of all-veneer layers inside.

Fabuwood's framed Allure box is 1/2" veneered plywood on the sides and back, with an 18 mm (3/4") veneered plywood adjustable shelf, a natural wood-veneer interior and a 3/4" x 1-1/2" solid wood face frame. The sides are dovetailed into the back of the face frame, and 2-1/2" plywood panel beams run across the top. Finished ends are covered with a 1/4" MDF skin that takes the door finish. So Allure isn't a solid-wood box either.

The Fabuwood line to flag is Illume: frameless, engineered furniture board, Blum Merivobox metal drawer boxes. The other frameless line, Ovela, uses UV-veneered plywood, so if you want a slab-door European look on plywood, Ovela is the one to compare. We cover both in our Illume review and our Ovela guide.

Does box material matter as much as the online argument suggests? Less than people think in a dry room, more under a sink. Engineered board is flat and stable; plywood holds screws better and survives a slow leak better. Our furniture board vs plywood guide goes through the testing and the failure modes. Our practical rule: if you are buying KraftMaid, price the plywood option, at least on the sink base and the cabinets either side of the dishwasher. On formaldehyde, KraftMaid's construction notes cite CARB II and EPA TSCA Title VI compliance, and our CARB2 explainer covers what that label actually promises.

Drawers, Runners and Hinges

This is closer than most online comparisons make it. Both brands build solid-wood dovetail drawer boxes as standard and put soft-close on doors and drawers without an upgrade. The construction details below are the same in all three KraftMaid books.

  • Drawer boxes. KraftMaid's standard drawer is 3/4" solid wood with four-sided dovetail joints and a 3/16" veneer plywood bottom. Fabuwood Allure's is 5/8" solid wood, dovetailed, with a thicker 3/8" plywood bottom. The KraftMaid sides are thicker; the Fabuwood bottom is thicker. If you store cast iron in drawers, the bottom is the part that sags, so that's the spec we'd look at first.
  • Runners. KraftMaid describes a concealed, full-extension, ball-bearing soft-close runner with a 90 lb load capacity. Fabuwood uses Blum's Tandem plus Blumotion concealed runner, which Blum rates at a 100 lb static load under the ANSI/BHMA A156.9 test on its Tandem product page. Those two numbers come from different documents and probably different test methods, so we wouldn't treat the 10 lb gap as meaningful.
  • Hinges. Both are concealed, soft-close and adjustable six ways. Fabuwood's are Blum Compact clip hinges with quick-release, so a door comes off without tools for cleaning or adjustment. KraftMaid's books list its hinges under its own name (Whisper Touch, with the SureMount installation system) rather than a hinge maker's.

Named hardware has one practical upside: if a Blum hinge fails in year twelve, any cabinet hardware supplier stocks the part. The flip side is that Fabuwood's warranty excludes Blum hinges and other third-party parts, so a hinge failure is a Blum matter, not a Fabuwood claim. We explain the joinery side in more depth in what dovetail drawers tell you about cabinet quality.

Door Styles, Wood Species and Finishes

This is KraftMaid's clearest advantage. The Lowe's spec book alone lists about 34 door designs, most available in several species: maple, cherry, oak, quartersawn oak, hickory, rustic hickory, rustic alder and rustic maple, plus EverCore (KraftMaid's paint-grade compressed wood fiber) and a high-gloss foil slab. Finishes run from plain stain through glazed, aged, weathered and translucent stains to several paint programs, each with its own upcharge. If your design calls for a glazed cherry raised panel or a knotty alder door with real character marks, KraftMaid will build it and Fabuwood won't.

Close-up of the corner of a warm ivory painted shaker cabinet door showing the joint where the stile meets the rail
The joint where stile meets rail. Both brands note in writing that painted wood doors can show a fine line here as the wood moves with the seasons.

Fabuwood offers fewer doors, chosen to cover the looks most kitchens want, and prices finishes flat inside a line. Galaxy, the five-piece shaker in the Allure line, has 14 finishes. Twelve of them price identically, so a painted Frost door and a stained Truffle door cost the same; only the two oak veneers, Desert Oak and Natural Oak, run about 20% higher. Luna has six finishes, Fusion five, and the Illume and Ovela slab lines fifteen each. You can see them all in our Fabuwood colors guide. For a color that isn't in the catalog, Fabuwood's custom paint program will factory-finish the framed Allure doors in any Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore color, quoted per project.

The flat pricing matters more than it looks. On KraftMaid's Lowe's and Home Depot programs, paint is a 15% upcharge over stain and aged or weathered finishes are 30%; on Vantage, paint runs 5–13% depending on the door's price group. So "white shaker" costs more than "stained shaker" at KraftMaid, while on Fabuwood Galaxy it doesn't. If your KraftMaid quote is priced in a stain and you want white, requote that side too.

One thing both brands agree on, in writing: painted doors on wood frames can show fine hairline lines at the joints as the wood moves with the seasons. KraftMaid's spec books call the hairline cracks "a normal characteristic of semi-opaque or painted finishes," and Fabuwood's warranty says the same about painted doors and frames. Neither brand treats it as a defect, so don't expect a claim to cover it.

Sizes and Modifications: Where KraftMaid Pulls Ahead

If your kitchen needs a cabinet no standard catalog has, this section decides it. All three KraftMaid spec books let you order a cabinet modified in width, depth or height to the nearest 1/16". Width changes work by ordering the next size up and reducing it, so a 32-1/2" gap gets a B33 cut to 32-1/2", with the doors, drawer fronts and face frame opening resized to match. Depth can come down to 4-5/8" (the suggested minimum for shelf-pin holes; shallower must be ordered as a cabinet front only), and many wall cabinets can go up to 24" deep. Base cabinets can be raised as tall as 42", with the extra height going into the door section. One limit to know: KraftMaid drawers stop working below 12" of depth, and anything shallower gets false drawer fronts.

Fabuwood works the way stock and most pre-assembled lines do. Allure base cabinets come in 3" width steps from 9" to 36" (B09 through B36), plus 39", 42" and 48". Odd gaps get closed with fillers, which come in standard widths and are cut down on site. Fabuwood does publish factory cut modifications, and they cover more than people expect:

  • Depth cuts: CUT-BASE and CUT-DBASE reduce base and drawer-base depth to as little as 12". CUT-WALL, CUT-SBASE and CUT-TALL take wall, sink base and tall cabinets down to 4". The TP1821 tall pantry comes with a 21" depth cut automatically.
  • Height cuts: CUT-TK reduces the toe-kick height; you specify the finished cabinet height. CUT-BASE HEIGHT removes the top drawer to make a 28-1/8" base that sits under a range top.
  • Other cuts: CUT-DOOR opens a door's center panel for glass (not on Luna), and CUT-PANEL trims a panel to any size.

What Fabuwood won't do is change a cabinet's width; the Allure book has no width modification at all. So the question is whether the gaps left after a standard-width layout are small enough to fill neatly. In most kitchens they are; a 1-1/2" filler beside a wall or a 3" filler at a corner is normal cabinetry. Fillers become a problem in a few cases: out-of-square rooms with stacked cabinets to the ceiling, galley kitchens with a fixed appliance wall, and designs where a filler would interrupt a run of matching drawer banks. Those are KraftMaid's strongest cases. Our Fabuwood sizes and specs guide lists every width and modification, and stock vs semi-custom vs custom explains where each tier's sizing ends.

Before you pay for modifications, re-measure. More than once a customer convinced they needed a 22-3/4" cabinet found, on a second measurement, that a standard 24" plus a filler fit fine. A single-dimension change costs 30% per cabinet in the 2026 Q1 Lowe's and 2025 Home Depot books (15% on Vantage), and that adds up fast across a kitchen.

The Two Warranties, Read Side by Side

On the headline terms the two limited lifetime warranties match. KraftMaid's warranty page covers defects in material and workmanship "for as long as they are owned by you, the original purchaser," and states that the warranty is not transferable. Fabuwood's covers the first residential purchaser for as long as they own the home the cabinets are installed in, and it isn't transferable either. When you sell the house, neither warranty goes with it. The exclusions are where they differ:

Term Fabuwood KraftMaid
Who is covered First residential purchaser (a builder can assign it to the first homeowner) Original purchaser; industrial, commercial and business buyers get one year
Hardware Blum hinges and other third-party parts excluded; those go to their maker Not separately excluded on the warranty page
Labor Removal, reinstallation and shipping of parts not paid Labor to uninstall or install not covered
Environment Void where the home lacks year-round climate control Wood movement from humidity isn't a defect per the spec books, which recommend 30–50% humidity
Other exclusions Transport damage, moisture, wear and tear, house settling Unfinished products, cabinetry bought before 1999, misuse, improper installation; the spec books add smoke discoloration
How claims work Through the original dealer, who files in Fabuwood's EZ Pricing system Start with the retailer, dealer, builder or contractor you bought from; KraftMaid takes written claims directly if that fails

Two practical notes. KraftMaid's FAQ says some of its budget programs, Simplicity and Momentum, carry a 25-year limited warranty rather than lifetime, so check the program name on your quote. On the Fabuwood side, the lifetime warranty text in the January 2025 Allure spec book names Allure and Illume (plus the older Value Premium and Quest series), not Ovela, so if you buy Ovela, ask your dealer to put the Ovela warranty terms in writing on your order. Fabuwood routes claims through the dealer who sold the cabinets, which means the authorized Fabuwood dealer you buy from is also the one who handles your claim, so pick one that will still be around.

Lead Times and Where Each Brand Is Sold

KraftMaid builds each order after it's placed. Its FAQ puts "normal production lead time" at "about four to six weeks, with an added week for delivery," and tells customers to expect four to seven weeks overall. Fabuwood keeps its best sellers in stock and ships them assembled. Galaxy ships in 7 days to 3 weeks. The other Allure collections run 3–5 weeks, and Illume and Ovela typically 2–4 weeks from order confirmation. Freight transit, 7–14 business days in the continental U.S., follows dispatch.

A few weeks can matter. Countertop fabricators template only after the cabinets are set, and plumbers and electricians often can't finish until the counters are in, so a three-week cabinet delay moves everything behind it. Around a move-in date or a rental turnover that has real cost; for a remodel six months out, it probably doesn't. Our Fabuwood brand page breaks lead times down by collection, including made-to-order and custom paint.

Where you can buy them is the other big difference. KraftMaid says it sells through more than 3,500 dealers nationwide, including The Home Depot, Lowe's and independent kitchen and bath design centers. Fabuwood sells only through authorized dealers, not big-box stores, and since the warranty runs through the dealer, buy from one that is authorized.

How Each Brand Prices a Kitchen

We don't publish KraftMaid prices, and we'd be wary of anyone quoting a firm "KraftMaid price per linear foot"; it depends on the program, price group, finish, options and that month's promotion. What we can explain is how each price is built.

Fabuwood has a list price for every SKU within its door line, and dealers apply a discount to it. Ours is 35% off list on every Fabuwood item. A Galaxy B12 (a 12" single-door base) lists at $560 and sells for $364; in Desert Oak or Natural Oak the same cabinet lists at $675. A typical 10x10 kitchen runs $4,000 to $9,000 in cabinets depending on the line, with fillers, panels, moldings and freight itemized separately. Our EZ Pricing explainer walks through a real Galaxy 10x10 SKU by SKU, and how much Fabuwood cabinets cost covers the ranges by line.

KraftMaid puts every door style into a price group; the Lowe's book has 18. The group sets the base price of each cabinet. Then the order upcharges from the program's chart are added as percentages: paint, glaze or distressing, All Plywood Construction, finished plywood ends, matching interiors, and any dimension changes. The retailer's pricing and promotions sit on top of all of that. That's why two KraftMaid quotes for "the same kitchen" can be thousands apart.

How far apart the two land depends on which KraftMaid upcharges your design triggers, but the tables show which way a quote moves when you even out the spec. Taking a stained, standard-box KraftMaid quote to plywood and paint adds a 20% and a 15% upcharge on the Lowe's program, and 27% and 15% on the Home Depot program. On Fabuwood Galaxy those two changes cost nothing. The exception: when a design needs several modified widths, there's no Fabuwood quote to compare, because Fabuwood doesn't build those cabinets.

Comparing the Two Quotes Line by Line

Most bad decisions we see come from comparing two totals that don't describe the same kitchen. Here's the checklist we use when a customer brings us a KraftMaid quote; it works just as well on ours.

Diagram of two cabinet quotes side by side with six matching checklist rows for comparing them
Six things to line up before two cabinet totals mean anything: the same cabinets, box, finish type, modifications, trim, and delivered cost.
  1. Match the SKUs. B30 to B30, W3036 to W3036, SB36 to SB36; the codes read almost the same across brands (our guide to cabinet SKU codes decodes them). A 3-drawer base against a door base, or a lazy Susan against a blind corner, makes the totals incomparable.
  2. Match the box. Find the construction line on the KraftMaid quote. Look for APC (All Plywood Construction, applied to the whole order), -AP after individual cabinet codes (plywood on those cabinets only), or nothing at all (standard engineered-wood box). On Vantage, plywood is standard. On Fabuwood, Allure and Ovela are plywood and Illume is not.
  3. Match the finish type. Paint against paint, stain against stain; paint is an upcharge on every KraftMaid program.
  4. List every modification. On the KraftMaid side, look for CW, RD, ID or CH after a cabinet code, and ask what the upcharge is on each. On the Fabuwood side, look for CUT- codes and fillers. A KraftMaid cabinet with a width change may replace a Fabuwood cabinet plus a filler, so compare that pair together.
  5. Count the trim. Fillers, finished end panels, toe kick, crown and light rail are easy to leave off a quote that's trying to look cheap. On KraftMaid, finished plywood ends are their own option code.
  6. Add freight, tax and delivery. Get each quote's number delivered to your driveway; ours itemizes freight separately.
  7. Write down the lead time and the warranty. Note the ship date and warranty (lifetime, or 25-year on Simplicity or Momentum) on both.

A worked example for step 4: a 32-1/2" gap between a wall and a dishwasher. On a KraftMaid Lowe's quote, the designer can order a B33 reduced to 32-1/2" with a CW code, which the Lowe's book lists as a 30% upcharge. On our quote, the same gap gets a standard B30 and a filler cut to 2-1/2". A 3" Fabuwood base filler lists at $40 and sells for $26 with our discount. Neither approach is wrong: the KraftMaid cabinet fills the gap exactly and costs more, and the Fabuwood layout has a narrow strip beside the door. You only see that trade-off line by line.

Which One to Pick If…

The rules we'd give a friend, assuming you've priced both on the same layout:

  • Your walls are standard, your design is shaker, slab or simple transitional, or you want paint on a budget: Fabuwood. You get a plywood box, Blum hardware and paint at the stain price without paying for options, and a shorter wait. The Allure line covers most of these kitchens.
  • You need exact widths, reduced depths, or taller bases across several cabinets: KraftMaid. Fabuwood's depth and height cuts won't solve a width problem, and too many fillers start to show.
  • You want a stained cherry, hickory or knotty alder kitchen, or a glazed or distressed finish: KraftMaid. Fabuwood doesn't offer those species or finish techniques.
  • You want frameless European slab cabinets: Fabuwood Ovela if you want plywood, Illume if furniture board is fine and you want metal drawer boxes. All three KraftMaid spec books we read describe face-frame construction and list no frameless line.
  • You want to buy at a big-box store, in person, on a store card: KraftMaid. Fabuwood isn't sold there.
  • You're buying KraftMaid anyway: price the Vantage program at an independent dealer next to the Lowe's or Home Depot quote. Plywood is standard there and modifications carry a 15% upcharge, so on a plywood kitchen with several modified cabinets it may come out ahead.

If you're torn, the tie-breaker is usually the doors. Order samples and look at them in your own kitchen light. Fabuwood door samples are $25 each through our sample page, and seeing the paint quality and profile in person settles more of these decisions than any spec sheet does.

KraftMaid's Sister and Rival Brands

Customers who start with KraftMaid often end up with quotes from two more names: Merillat and Aristokraft. Merillat cabinets come from the same parent as KraftMaid. Cabinetworks Group lists 15 brands on its website, including KraftMaid, Merillat, Medallion and Schuler, and Merillat is mostly met through builders. Aristokraft cabinets belong to the rival group, MasterBrand, which also makes Diamond, Decorá and Mantra. We sell those three, and we don't sell Aristokraft or Merillat.

Sharing a parent doesn't mean sharing a spec. Our guide to who makes which cabinet brands maps every family, and we keep spec-level comparisons for Fabuwood vs Merillat, Fabuwood vs Aristokraft and Fabuwood vs Medallion. For a semi-custom brand we do sell, see Diamond vs KraftMaid. For where Fabuwood itself comes from, see who makes Fabuwood cabinets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Fabuwood better than KraftMaid?

For a standard-size kitchen in a shaker or slab style, Fabuwood gives you more box for the money: plywood and Blum hardware as standard on Allure, with a shorter lead time. KraftMaid is better when you need modified sizes, a particular wood species, or a glazed or distressed finish. Neither is better across the board.

KraftMaid vs Fabuwood: which is cheaper?

On a like-for-like spec (same cabinet list, plywood box, same finish type), Fabuwood usually comes out lower, because the plywood and paint that KraftMaid's retail programs charge extra for are already in Fabuwood's price. We don't quote KraftMaid prices, so price your own layout both ways and use the checklist above.

Are KraftMaid cabinets solid wood?

The doors, drawer fronts and face frames are solid wood or wood veneer, except EverCore doors, which are compressed wood fiber. The standard box is engineered wood with a vinyl finish; plywood is an upgrade at Lowe's and Home Depot and standard on Vantage. Fabuwood's box isn't solid wood either: Allure and Ovela use veneered plywood.

Does KraftMaid use Blum hardware?

Its spec books list its own Whisper Touch hinges and runners without naming a hardware maker. Fabuwood's Allure book names Blum Compact hinges and Tandem plus Blumotion runners, and Illume uses Blum Merivobox metal drawers. Both brands' hinges close softly and adjust six ways.

Who makes KraftMaid cabinets?

Cabinetworks Group of Livonia, Michigan, which also owns Merillat, Medallion, Schuler and other brands. KraftMaid is not a MasterBrand product, a common mix-up.

Where are KraftMaid cabinets made?

In Middlefield, Ohio. KraftMaid's FAQ says its cabinets have been built there since 1969 and puts output at about 1.6 million cabinets a year from nearly 1,000 workers. The Lowe's, Home Depot and Vantage programs are the same factory's product sold with different construction defaults. Fabuwood builds in Newark, New Jersey, and added a plant in Tijuana, Mexico for West Coast orders; our Fabuwood origin guide has the details.

Are KraftMaid cabinets good quality?

By their spec books, yes, with one caveat. Solid-wood dovetail drawers, soft-close hinges and runners, a solid hardwood face frame and a lifetime limited warranty are standard. The caveat is the box: on the Lowe's and Home Depot programs it is vinyl-clad engineered wood unless you pay for All Plywood Construction. Read the construction line on the quote before you judge the price. For the Fabuwood side of the same question, see our Fabuwood cabinets review.

Can I mix Fabuwood and KraftMaid in one kitchen?

We wouldn't. Door profiles, overlays, finish colors and toe-kick details won't line up exactly, and the difference shows most where two cabinets sit side by side. For a two-tone kitchen, stay within one brand, such as a Galaxy island in one finish and perimeter cabinets in another.

Price Your Kitchen Both Ways
