Kitchen Cabinets in Port St. Lucie, FL

Cabinets and built-ins for St. Lucie County’s newer single-family homes, shipped by tracked freight after a free 3D design.

Port St. Lucie is one of Florida’s younger cities: its median home was built in 2003, and close to one in seven dates from 2020 or later. Most kitchen cabinets in Port St. Lucie, FL therefore replace or extend a builder kitchen rather than rescue an old one, and pantry walls, desks and dry bars are built from the same boxes. We are an online dealer based in New Jersey with no Treasure Coast showroom; the 3D design is free, most prices are listed online, and orders ship by tracked freight.

Unincorporated St. Lucie: often exempt, but file the application

St. Lucie County’s list of items not requiring a permit (archived October 3, 2026) names kitchen cabinets that do not include plumbing or electrical work among repairs under $2,500. Separately, it says work valued under $7,500 with no structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing or gas work may be exempt, but an exemption application is still required to verify it. A full kitchen usually costs more than $2,500, so plan on filing that application before the old cabinets come out. Inside Port St. Lucie city limits the city’s own building department decides; we could not find a published city rule on cabinets, so call before you start. The state exemption covers single-family homes only and does not apply to a property partly or entirely in a flood hazard area, so check the lot’s flood zone first.[6][11]

How a US Cabinet Depot delivery works

US Cabinet Depot’s South Florida warehouse is at 6301 Lyons Road, Coconut Creek, though the brand may ship an order from another of its distribution centers. Its terms say that for residential deliveries the carrier phones about 24 hours ahead to set a window, usually three to four hours, and that when liftgate service is booked the driver sets the pallet on the ground, so have someone ready to carry cartons into the air conditioning.[7][8]

Storm season and freight

The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30 and peaks around September 10. As Hurricane Milton approached in October 2024, C.H. Robinson reported that some LTL carriers had halted pickup and delivery across Florida from October 8. If a storm is forecast near your delivery date, expect the carrier to reschedule, and keep delivered cartons sealed and indoors.[9][10]

How delivery works in Port St. Lucie

US Cabinet Depot keeps a Florida warehouse in Coconut Creek, about 76 miles south of Port St. Lucie by road, roughly an hour and a half’s drive. USCD decides which of its warehouses ships an order, and other lines come from their own brand warehouses. Delivery is to the curb or the end of the driveway; a liftgate is available when requested before the delivery is booked. Fort Pierce, Tradition and St. Lucie West addresses are handled the same way.

Timing, door to door: about 2–3 weeks for KCD, Tribeca or J&K, about 3–4 weeks for Fabuwood or Mantra stock, and about 5–8 weeks for built-to-order Diamond or Decorá, with transit confirmed on your quote. If a pantry wall or garage storage run is part of the plan, put it on the kitchen order so everything comes on one truck.

RTA and wholesale built-ins for Port St. Lucie houses

Most Port St. Lucie houses are single-family and newer than 2000, which usually means a garage to stage the order in. That suits ready-to-assemble cabinets: the flat cartons stack along a garage wall, and each box is built there before it goes inside.[2]

Built-ins use the same parts. A pantry wall, a mudroom bench or a dry bar is made from standard base, wall and tall cabinets, so it can ship with the kitchen. US Cabinet Depot sells both ready-to-assemble and pre-assembled cabinets, and wholesale means one published price per box, with most prices listed online.[7]

Common questions

Will my cabinets ship from US Cabinet Depot’s Coconut Creek warehouse?

They may. US Cabinet Depot has a South Florida warehouse in Coconut Creek, about 76 miles from Port St. Lucie by road, but the brand can fill an order from any of its distribution centers, so we cannot promise which one ships yours. Other brands ship from their own warehouses, and the lead times above apply either way.

Is a permit required for new cabinets in unincorporated St. Lucie County?

Usually not a permit. The county lists kitchen cabinets with no plumbing or electrical work among minor repairs under $2,500, and for work under $7,500 on a single-family home outside a flood hazard area it still wants an exemption application to verify the exemption. Inside Port St. Lucie city limits, ask the city’s building department.

Can you supply a pantry wall or garage cabinets?

We supply the cabinets, not the labor. Pantry walls and garage runs use the same tall, base and wall cabinets as a kitchen, so the designer can draw them into one plan and they ship together.

Will a hurricane delay my delivery?

It can. Between June 1 and November 30, carriers sometimes pause Florida pickups and deliveries ahead of a storm, as some did before Milton in 2024. The carrier reschedules once it resumes service.
