Kitchen Cabinets in West Palm Beach & Boca Raton
Cabinets for Palm Beach County homes from Jupiter to Boca Raton, with a free 3D design and tracked freight delivery.
Buying kitchen cabinets in West Palm Beach, Boca Raton or Delray Beach comes with two Palm Beach County twists in 2026: the sales tax went down, and the county says the new state permit exemption does not apply within its borders. We are an online dealer based in New Jersey, with no Palm Beach County showroom. You get a free 3D design and an itemized quote in 24–48 hours, then delivery to the curb by tracked freight.

Palm Beach County: what changed in 2026
Two rule changes and one housing fact matter more here than anywhere else in South Florida.
- Sales tax on a Palm Beach County delivery
- 6.5%[1]A 0.5% school surtax began Jan. 1, 2026; the 1% infrastructure surtax ended Dec. 31, 2025.
- HB 803 $7,500 exemption (county Building Division)
- Not available[2]The county says all of Palm Beach County is a designated flood hazard area.
- Owner-occupied homes
- 70.0%[3]Above the Florida-wide 68%.
- Median year built
- 1986[3]39.6% of homes are in multi-unit buildings.
- Humidity at West Palm Beach
- 82% / 61%[4]Annual morning and afternoon averages; September afternoons reach 66%.
Why the $7,500 exemption doesn’t help here
HB 803 lets single-family owners elsewhere in Florida skip the building permit for small jobs with no trade work, but it excludes any property in a flood hazard area. In a June 2026 memo, Palm Beach County’s Planning, Zoning and Building Department said the whole county carries that designation, so “current permit requirements remain unchanged.” If your cabinet job needs a permit today, plan on it. Boca Raton, West Palm Beach and the other cities run their own building departments; West Palm Beach, for one, takes exemption requests through its own portal, but still excludes any lot partly or fully in a flood hazard area. Ask the department that covers your address.[2][9]
Budget the right tax rate
Through 2025 a Palm Beach County delivery carried 7%. From January 1, 2026 it carries 6.5%, because the 1% infrastructure surtax expired and a 0.5% school surtax replaced it. If an older estimate still shows 7%, ask for it to be redone.[1]
Boca Raton runs its own exemption form
Boca Raton has its own building department and its own HB 803 acknowledgment form. The form allows the exemption only for single-family property classified as Flood Zone X, and says the city may ask for a signed and sealed elevation certificate to prove it. Condos fall outside HB 803 anyway, and 34.1% of Boca homes are in buildings of 20 or more units.[7][8]
If the house sits empty in summer
Manufacturers write climate control into their warranties: Fabuwood’s does not apply to products installed where year-round environmental controls are not maintained. If you close the house for the off-season, leave the AC on with a humidity setpoint instead of switching it off.[5]

How delivery works in West Palm Beach
An LTL carrier brings Palm Beach County orders to the curb, and a liftgate is available on request. Gated communities in Boca Raton, Wellington and Jupiter often set their own delivery rules, so put the gate instructions in your order notes. The brand decides which of its warehouses fills the order, and freight to your address is a line on the quote.
Your timeline: a KCD, Tribeca or J&K order typically ships in 7–10 days, Fabuwood and Mantra stock in about 2 weeks, a built-to-order Diamond or Decorá order typically takes 4–6 weeks, and transit usually adds 1–7 business days. Assembled lines come boxed on shrink-wrapped pallets; RTA lines come flat-packed. Inspect every box within 48 hours and report any damage within five days of delivery (within 48 hours for Modernform).

ExploreWholesale and RTA cabinets in Palm Beach County
Wholesale, as we use it, means one published price for each cabinet, the same for every buyer, rather than a showroom’s package price. RTA, or ready-to-assemble, goes one step further: the boxes ship as flat panels and you put them together. In a Boca Raton high-rise the flat carton is the easy one to move; in a Wellington or Jupiter house with a garage, either format works.[7]
Assembly is the cost people forget. At This Old House’s estimate of 20 to 30 minutes a cabinet, a 25-box kitchen is a full day or more for one person, so if you are paying someone by the hour, price the assembled version of the same layout too.[6]

Common questions
Do I still need a permit for cabinet work in Palm Beach County?
If the Florida Building Code requires one for your job, plan on it. The county Building Division says HB 803’s $7,500 exemption does not apply within Palm Beach County because the entire county is a designated flood hazard area. Cities run their own departments and exclude flood-zone lots too, so confirm with the one that covers your address.
What sales tax applies to cabinets delivered in Palm Beach County in 2026?
Six and a half percent: the state’s 6% plus a 0.5% school surtax that started January 1, 2026.
Can you deliver to a gated community in Boca Raton or Jupiter?
Yes. Send gate instructions and any community delivery hours with your quote request, and ask for a liftgate if there is no loading dock.
Is there a Captivating Cabinets showroom in Palm Beach County?
No. We are online only. Door samples ship to your home, and the 3D design and quote arrive by email.
Does Boca Raton follow the county’s permit answer?
No, the city runs its own building department. Its HB 803 form allows the exemption only for a single-family property in Flood Zone X, and condo units do not qualify, so check your flood zone and ask the city before you plan around it.
