Five feet is the width at which a second basin stops being a squeeze and starts being usable, and this collection will sell you that in more than one shape. The pair costs $468.00 more than the one-piece double and $318.50 more than the wide single. What that money buys is not a bigger bathroom — it is control over where things sit, which for a fair number of rooms is worth every cent of it.
What only the mirrored pair can do
Set the drain centres yourself. A one-piece 60-inch double arrives with its bowl positions decided at the factory, and the rough-in has to meet them. Two 30-inch combos are two independent cabinets, so the basins land wherever you put the boxes — which is the difference between working with the waste pipes a house already has and paying a plumber to move them.
The pair also gives two drawer banks instead of one, and a choice about where they go. Order a left-hand and a right-hand combo and the drawers sit outboard, one at each end of the run, with the two basins together in the middle under a shared mirror. Order two of the same hand and the drawers sit inboard, back to back in the centre, with a basin at each end of the wall. Both are sensible rooms; they are not the same room, and the single 60-inch carcass gives you neither.
Counting the drawer banks, not the bowls

Where the wall is exactly sixty, look at the floor instead of the wall. Measure from the front of the cabinets to whatever stands opposite — bath, shower or the swing of the door — because a run this wide is normally facing something, and two people leaning over two basins occupy more of that floor than one person leaning over one.
