Galaxy Pistachio Green drawer panels: who ends up on this page, and what each of them needs

Reviewed September 2026 · Captivating Cabinets

The Galaxy Pistachio Green drawer panel page holds two parts, GPG DWR1-1/2 at $123.50 and GPG DWR3 at $130.00, and the name suggests something neither of them is. Nobody puts a 1½-inch drawer front on a drawer. From the searches that bring people here, three quite different shoppers arrive at this page, and only one of them should be ordering from it. So rather than describe two strips at length, this article sorts out which shopper you are, what you actually need, and where to find it if it is not here.

Three shoppers, three different answers

The shopper looking for a replacement drawer front

You have a drawer front that is damaged, or you want to change the colour of existing drawers to green, and you searched for a drawer panel. Neither part on this page is that. A drawer front in this line is a five-piece recessed panel, fitted to its box at the factory, and the two listed parts are 1½ and 3 inches wide, which are strip widths rather than drawer widths. The live list for this finish does not publish loose full-size drawer fronts either. If you are replacing one damaged front on a Galaxy kitchen, call us on (609) 900-3358 with the cabinet code and we will find the right route. If you want to recolour another brand’s drawers, the parts here will not fit their reveals, and the refacing panel page is the closer starting point.

The shopper with a narrow gap beside an appliance or a drawer bank

This is who the page is really for. A dishwasher or a panel-ready appliance set into a run of drawer bases leaves a narrow vertical space either side, and a faced strip in the same paint continues the drawer fronts across it better than a flat board does. At 1½ or 3 inches, that is exactly what these two parts appear to be sized for. The rest of this article is written for you.

The shopper who found DWR on a quote

A designer put GPG DWR3 on your quote and you want to know what it is. It is a narrow finished face, placed where the plan has a gap that sits in the rhythm of the drawer fronts, usually next to an appliance. Ask the designer which gap it closes; if the answer is a gap nobody will see, a plain filler at a fifth of the price would do the same job, and it is fair to ask for the swap. The SKU codes guide explains the rest of the codes on the same quote.

What a narrow face costs per inch, across every option

Closing a narrow gap has five candidate parts on this collection, from a plain strip to the widest DWR panel. Put them side by side by the inch of width they cover and the pattern is obvious.

Narrow faces for a gap in the base run, displayed prices 2026-09-28
PartWidthPricePer inch of widthWhat it looks like
GPG BF33″$26.00$8.67Plain flat strip
GPG BF66″$43.55$7.26Plain flat strip
GPG DWR1-1/21-1/2″$123.50$82.33Narrow finished face
GPG DWR33″$130.00$43.33Narrow finished face
GPG DWR66″$201.50$33.58Narrow finished face, titled as a dishwasher panel

The DWR parts cost five to ten times what a plain strip costs for the same inch. At 1½ inches the premium is steepest, because the finishing work is roughly the same whatever the width and there is almost no face to spread it across. That is why the cheapest honest advice on this page is to make the gap wider, not narrower: if the layout can be nudged so that a 1½-inch gap becomes a 3-inch one, the part is only $6.50 dearer and a much more sensible proportion.

The third member of the family, GPG DWR6, is titled as a dishwasher panel and lives on the dishwasher end panel page. Read together, the three look like one series of narrow faces at 1½, 3 and 6 inches. We are not going to claim more about their construction than the listings say. The live list does not publish a height for any DWR part or describe whether the face carries a frame at these widths, so tell us the opening and what sits behind it and we will confirm what the code ships as before the order is released.

When the finished face is worth it, and when a strip is fine

A green shaker kitchen with a farmhouse sink under a window, stacked drawer bases with brass cup pulls, white counters and floating wood shelves
A green run of drawers either side of a sink. A narrow gap in a run like this sits among drawer fronts, which is where a finished face earns its price.

The deciding question is what the eye compares the gap with. Put a narrow gap at the end of a run, beside a wall, and the eye compares it with the wall: a plain strip is fine and invisible. Put the same gap in the middle of a run of drawer fronts, between a drawer bank and a dishwasher, and the eye compares it with the fronts either side of it. That is where a flat board looks like a board and a finished face looks like part of the run.

Colour sharpens that comparison. On a white kitchen, small differences in surface between a flat strip and a shaker front tend to wash out in the general brightness. On a greyed mid-tone green, the shadow lines of the drawer fronts are more legible, and a flat strip without them stands out a little more against the rhythm. It is not dramatic, and it is not a reason to buy DWR parts for every gap. It is a reason to buy them for the one gap in the middle of the drawer wall that you face every time you cook.

There is also a proportion argument that has nothing to do with colour. A finished face at 1½ inches is a sliver: whatever detail it carries is compressed into a width narrower than a door stile, and from a few feet away it reads as a line rather than as a piece of the run. At 3 inches the same face has room to look deliberate. So if the gap in the middle of your drawer wall is 1½ inches, the better question may be whether the dishwasher or the neighbouring drawer base can shift so the gap becomes 3, which a designer can usually answer from the elevation in a few minutes. Hardware matters here too: a long bar pull on the drawer fronts either side makes a narrow face between them look even narrower, while knobs or short pulls leave it more breathing room.

Everywhere else, use the plain filler grid on the filler page. Fillers are also the part to cut when a wall is out of plumb; a narrow finished face should be ordered to the gap and left alone, because trimming it on site cuts into the only detail you paid extra for.

Measuring a gap for one of these

Order a DWR part against the gap you have, not the gap on the drawing. Measure the width at the top, the middle and the bottom, and take the smallest. Note the height from the floor or kick line to the underside of the counter, because the listings do not give a height and that is the number we will check against. Note what sits either side: an appliance side, a drawer base, a wall. And photograph it.

If the appliance has not been installed yet, measure from its installation sheet instead, and allow for the dishwasher door and its handle, because the strip has to leave the door room to drop. Our kitchen dimensions guide covers appliance clearances in more detail. Where a gap will be trimmed anyway, put a roll of GPG EDGE-BAND at $7.15 in the same box; on a narrow part a raw cut edge is a large share of what you see.

Ordering, and the cheaper route most people should take

Most gaps in most kitchens want a plain filler, and most gaps that want a finished face want the 3-inch one. The 1½-inch part is for the rare case where a layout genuinely cannot move and the gap sits in plain view. If you are not sure which case you have, send the elevation for a free 3D design; the designer will place every narrow part and tell you which ones can become plain strips, usually within 24 to 48 hours of the first reply.

Everything on this page ships with the Galaxy order, pre-assembled, in seven days to three weeks. The rest of the trim range is on the decorative accessories page, and the drawer bases these sit beside are on the base cabinet page. Trade buyers placing several kitchens a year can get 20 to 40 percent off through Captivating Pro, which makes the DWR premium easier to justify on the gaps that matter.

Common questions

Is a drawer panel the same as a drawer front?
No. The two drawer panels on this list are 1½ and 3 inches wide, which are strip widths. Drawer fronts in this line are fitted to their drawer boxes at the factory, and the live list for this finish does not publish loose full-size drawer fronts.
What is GPG DWR3 used for?
It is a narrow finished face for a 3-inch gap that sits among drawer fronts, most often beside a dishwasher or panel-ready appliance in a run of drawer bases. At $130.00 it costs five times a plain 3-inch filler, so it belongs in a gap people look at, not one at the end of a run.
Should I use a drawer panel or a filler?
Use a filler for any gap beside a wall, in a corner or out of sight; GPG BF3 is $26.00. Use a DWR panel only where the gap sits between drawer fronts and a flat strip would break their rhythm.
How tall are the DWR panels?
The live list does not publish a height for any DWR part. Send us the opening width, the height from kick line to counter underside and a photo, and we will confirm the finished size before the order is released.
Can I use these to recolour another brand’s drawers green?
No. They are narrow strips, and a face made for these boxes will not match another maker’s reveals. For recolouring existing cabinets, start with the refacing panel page and a conversation with us.
