Galaxy Nickel 24" Wide Wall Cabinets

Five families, nine heights, and a great many empty cells. Reading it as a grid rather than as five separate lists is what makes the gaps visible.

Two things fall out of reading it this way. The pie-cut corner at fifteen inches tall costs more than the same corner at eighteen — $409.50 against $383.50 — which is the one price at this width that does not behave, and worth confirming before it reaches an order. And the blind unit is the only corner that ever undercuts the plain box — $354.25 against $364.00 at thirty inches tall — with the two drawing level at $429.00 one step up.

A sixth family sits off the table because it prices in another league entirely. Five of the nine heights are short boxes — 12, 15, 18, 21 and 24 inches — and the whole set is priced within $45.50 of itself, from $227.50 to $273.00. Nowhere else on the wall does height cost so little. If a gap over a window head, a hood or a built-in falls anywhere in that band, buy the tallest box that fits rather than the one that matches the opening exactly. Two glass door parts are cut for twenty-four inches. The plain one is GNK GDW2430 at $165.75, GDW2436 at $201.50, GDW2439 at $107.25 and GDW2442 at $234.00. The diagonal-corner one is GNK GDWDC2430 at $100.75, GDWDC2436 at $117.00, GDWDC2439 at $126.75 and GDWDC2442 at $139.75 — the only glazed corner front the collection makes, and the cheapest glass on the glass door page.

One number in the first set is out of line: the thirty-nine-inch-tall part displays below both the thirty-six and the forty-two. The same pattern shows at thirty and thirty-six inches wide, which reads as a pricing anomaly rather than a smaller part. Confirm it before a plan is built on it.

A glazed corner deserves a thought. A diagonal corner is the one cabinet in a run seen from two directions at once, and glass turns the hardest box to reach into the one you least mind reaching into. Light it while you are there — GNK LED W24 is $113.75 for the puck set cut to this width, and a spare shelf, GNK AS-W24, is $37.05.

This is the only width in the collection that carries them. GNK WAG2418 at $968.50 is the straight one — a twenty-four-inch bay with a front that retracts, sized to stand on the counter under the upper run and put a toaster or a coffee machine out of sight. GNK WDCAG2418 at $757.25 does the same across a corner, and is $211.25 cheaper, which is unusual: corner versions of everything else in the catalogue cost more than their straight equivalents, not less.

Neither is a hanging cabinet and both are ordered from the cabinet accessories page. Neither listing publishes the mechanism or the finished interior depth, so measure the appliance and ask before ordering rather than after.
